Shannon was anxious. Knowing that they had to move sometime, Eli pulled away from him and took his hand, squeezing lightly as he did. His head canted to the side, a thoughtful noise in his throat. "Could definitely use simple after the last time," he said. Not that it had been bad, but the intensity and sheer intent to break him had left him somewhat shaken. It wasn't the reasons for it or that Eli had done it to him, he understood and was fine with it all, but the emotional aftermath was still a bit frightening with how thoroughly and easily he had been broken down.
