Shannon was anxious. Not in a bad way, but the anticipatory way that everyone got when something new and exciting was going up and there was no way it could go badly, but predicting the end outcome was almost impossible. It was a great feeling, but one that left Shannon feeling like a teen heading out to prom instead of a grown man getting ready to have fun with his boyfriend and potentially make some hilariously heartfelt gestures to express his trust in Eli. That was probably something he didn't do enough in general, actually.

Breakfast had been something simple. Pancakes, fresh cut fruit and sausage. Eli had come over pretty early to get ready, talking over the generalities of what they were going to do while the specifics were to wait for after they were done. Well, now they were done and sitting on the couch, and Shannon's leg was jiggling even under the hand he had placed on his knee to keep himself still. Lacey had wandered off after breakfast, stomach filled with her own food and presumably was napping on the foot of the bed in Shannon's room. Probably for the better, really.

"So," he said, ignoring the obvious tell he was giving off. If Eli took it for misapprehension, then Shannon was going to definitely lean over and smack him. "Where do we start?"

Eli was fully aware of how daunting the first time being whipped during a scene could be, which is why he's been so slow and careful with him this entire time. Honestly, he wouldn't blame him if he backed out at the last moment and he was quite proud of him for not doing so. He took a deep breath and focused himself before cracking the whip across Shannon's back, making sure not to use too much force behind it.

"How was that? Again?" He knew from experience how much a whip could hurt, but also if you had the right inclinations how good it could feel. He was curious to see on what side of the line Shannon fell and change the scene accordingly.

There was really only so much you could do to prepare yourself for being whipped. Even in the hands of someone trusted and experienced, it was still a momentary shock to the system, a feeling more than an actual sensation until a moment later when it actually settled into his skin. Shannon let out a quiet gasp and was perfectly still while it echoed through him.

It had hurt, of course, but there had been something else to it. Something sharp and fierce to the blow that made his breath catch in ways entirely unrelated to the pain. It worked together with the fading sting of the whip's bite and he needed to feel it again to be sure.

"Again," he confirmed, stance finally loosening again. "Please."

He waited patiently for Shannon to take the sensation in, not wanting to rush him. He's definitely studying Shannon while waiting, seeing how his body responded and even how it was now. It wasn't the position of somebody who didn't like it, but something more along the lines of curiosity, which was only confirmed when Shannon asked for another strike.

"If that's what you want," he answered before striking him again with the same amount of force. He's definitely going to keep an eye on him throughout this entire part just to see how he responds. It's now turned into curiosity for himself and wondering what exactly was going on in his boyfriend's mind.

He wasn't quite sure how to accept the whipping, so Shannon held still and tried not to stay too tensed up. His head tipped back this time as if to take more of it in, mouth slightly agape to take a shuddering breath. That definitely felt right, a rippling of motion across his skin and searing into his muscle in a way that went past the pain. He was discomforted by the pain almost crowding out the other sensation, but when he concentrated on that it only led further into the new feeling and he let his head dip back down.

"Please," he said again when it was obvious Eli was not going to continue without him. He would keep saying it if he had to, would beg if Eli wanted it in order to feel it again.

He couldn't help but smile at Shannon's response after this strike. It was obvious he was getting something out of it beyond pain and if that was the case, Eli was going to help him experience it as much as he could. When Shannon gave him the word to go ahead for another, he complied, striking him with the whip once more.

"Tell me how it feels," he said, an edge of something creeping into his voice. Sure, he wasn't the one being struck, but seeing Shannon get hit and not disliking it was something that Eli was very much enjoying. Pain play was definitely something that was going to be added to the scene from now on.

This time Shannon pressed forward, resting some of his weight against the frame while he tried to compile his thoughts, restraints shifting but holding fast with the motion. There was a gasp this time, his remaining inhibitions crumbling away the longer they went. Temptation whispered for him to merely sink back into the feeling and let it take over, but something deeper urged him to think it through and answer.

"Like... like there's fire in my blood. Getting sparked," he said after a long stretch of silence once it had begun to diminish. "Warm. Explosive. All at once. Everything at once." You couldn't have one without the other, after all, but he had never been scared of getting burned.

"And you like that?" There was barely a pause before Eli cracked the whip against his back once more. He could tell now that Shannon wanted to go on with this and go on they would. Now he was making himself a rhythm, striking him with the whip after a pause just long enough to make him crave the next one even more than the one previously.

Two, three, four. Each strike was just as controlled as the last, Eli restraining himself to keep from doing Shannon harm because this was about what Shannon wanted, not what Eli wanted, though right now all Eli wanted was to see Shannon enjoy what he was giving him. Not that they would be doing this for much longer as this was Shannon's first time with the whip. Eli didn't want to overdo it.

It was easy to take what Eli gave him. There was pure pleasure blossoming underneath the warmth slowly expanding from his veins, always just starting to fade before coming back in fuller force than before as if Eli were inside his skin and waiting for just the right moment to strike again. It was on the tip of frustrating, the wait every time, but then the reward paid off and grunts slowly turned into moans and Shannon could feel the very edges of his muscles beginning to tremble from the assault his body couldn't comprehend.

There was nothing but the fire slowly burning up his veins and the anticipation of the next crack across his back. This was his Dom, everywhere and giving just enough, more than enough, and he hoped to hell he was doing him good by taking it so well.

Shannon was doing wonderful, but Eli knew that his body wouldn't be able to take as much as Shannon wanted. It was the problem with sub space and Eli went into this knowing that he'd have to watch out for that. He gave Shannon two more strikes, just as controlled and separated as all the others, before he ended it. Putting the whip down, Eli went over to Shannon and placed his hands on his back where he knew he had struck him, small amounts of electricity trickling out from his fingers into an already sensitized back.

"No more of that," he said calmly, his tone carrying the normal hint of command that he normally had when he was a Dom. His hands moved up his back, the electricity having stopped, and to his shoulders as Eli got close to him. "I've got a surprise in store for you next, my dear."

He could tell when they had stopped, the tension in the air seeming to dissipate followed by the footsteps stopping behind him. He turned his head just enough to take in more of Eli's presence, then shuddered as sparks sunk down into the fire into something lower-key but somehow stronger for its lesser volatility. Any thought of whining about ending so soon had been prematurely driven from his head.

He merely gave a breathy hum in response before perking up in response to both the words and the hands wandering over his back. "Surprise?" he murmured with interest.

"Oh yes, a surprise from that bag you're so curious about," he said as he moved in and kissed the top of his back before pulling away. Oh, they were definitely going to have fun with the next thing. He went over to the bag, picked it up, and walked back over to Shannon, putting the bag down beside the frame as he grabbed the pair of vampire gloves that he bought and put them on.

"If the whip sparked the fire in your blood, then what I'm going to do next is going to make you burn." After he said that, Eli pressed the gloves against his upper back and then dragged them all down his body, stopping only at the harness to see what Shannon thought of that.

His attention was only momentarily stolen by the bag, curiosity bubbling up inside over its contents and what they would be doing with them. Of course, he knew part of what they had purchased but it was the mysterious items that Eli had refused to disclose that got his imagination the most.

At the soft bites of the gloves, other thoughts were driven straight from his head. His spine arced out and the muscles of his back spasmed against the feeling of hundreds of little fires all singing out at once, mingling and playing along with the fire of the whipcracks. He gave a soft, elongated sigh as it reached the bottom of his back. "What..." Words weren't quite cooperating, but his brain was churning against the lack of vocabulary in wonder. That wasn't Eli's electricity. "What's that?"

"They're called vampire gloves," he explained as his hands shifted forward to the front of Shannon's body and started to make their way up while Eli leaned in and gently bit his shoulder. "They have these tiny little spikes covering the palms and fingers that if I press too far into your skin, it'll make you bleed."

As if to prove that, he gave his shoulder a small lick. It was a small part of his Aspect bleeding through, finding the idea of a bloodied Shannon incredibly attractive, even though he had no plans on making him bleed. Instead, he had a better idea. One hand went up to Shannon's hair and he massaged his scalp carefully while the other hand roamed across his body, moving to his chest to see what reactions he could pull out of him.

There were no words in response, merely a heavy lean into Eli when the gloves went across the front of him. He swallowed down gasps of air, a moan fading into breathy noises up until the glove moved much higher up. His sound intensified and his whole body moved with the new sensation of soft and gentle comfort mixing with the fire and setting him alight all the way down his spine and right into his toes. It was some kind of perfect harmony between the two balances of calm and gentle, sharp and alive.

His arms moved, not fighting the restraints but trying to let the feeling seep into every extremity while he basically melted into the touch. It was a breaking dam, flowing down into everything and furthered along by the hand of flame on his chest. There was nothing but the molten lava in his blood, and his sounds of pleasure and engagement hardly faltered to signify it.

Now that was how he wanted to see Shannon, enjoying what Eli was giving him to the point where he could only focus on the feelings running through his body. Hearing the noises and seeing Shannon's body moving in response was definitely turning him on and he let out a sharp breath. Being on the frame didn't help matters any and that was about the point where he decided that he should take him down from there.

Taking off the glove on the hand not in his hair, Eli dropped it in the bag and quickly reached down to put the bag on his arm before he wrapped his arm around Shannon, still petting and keeping his mind distracted completely by that. Then he teleported twice, once with Shannon to get him out of the frame's restraints and a second time to put himself in front of Shannon instead of behind, not even giving him a moment to fall. Carrying him awkwardly with one arm, Eli brought him back to the bed and put him down on it, finally stopping his petting as he moved to put the harness back on him and wait for his boyfriend to return to awareness.

It was almost like he was waking up again, although he had never gone to sleep in the first place. Awareness was thin on the ground, but he did have more of his wits about him by the time the world stopped drifting along the sea of heat and warmth. His hands flexed impulsively and he hummed, trying to figure out what had happened. He wasn't standing anymore, he realized after a moment, and he reached out to feel what had happened: the bed was underneath him and that mass of unmistakable heat above had to be his Dom. He brought a hand up to clasp at his shirt, still hazy but comfortable.

All that was left was the confusion why it had stopped. He missed it already, phantom scrapes along his scalp stirring at his hair and the sparks along his chest igniting all up and down his limbs. "Sir?"

"There we go," he said softly, not answering him at first while he took an ungloved finger and ran it along Shannon's lips. He knew that he was probably wanting more of the same thing, but he wasn't going to let Shannon control the scene or otherwise they'd still be on the whips. "We're moving on to something else now and I need you aware. First though, do you need something to drink?"

Even distracted as he was, looking at his nearly completely naked boyfriend below him, his mind was still on making sure he was taken care of. It was his job, after all, and he was a good Dom to make sure that his sub wasn't going to be harmed through negligence. Besides, this would give him time to set up for the next part of their scene.

When there was a finger on his lips, he parted his mouth to sneak his tongue out and lick along the digit. He grinned lightly, then actually thought through the question once it had filtered in. Really, he would much rather just keep going to see what his Dom had in store, but it hadn't been a question of what he wanted. It was almost surprising that he could make the distinction, but if there was anything that he was focusing on right now, it was his Dom and the feelings he was inspiring.

"Yeah," he answered. Especially after all of that, it was hard to pay attention to that sort of thing on his own; it was only after he had been asked that he realized it for true.

His breath caught at the feel of Shannon's tongue against his finger, making him tease his lips more with it so that he could pull his attention another way. It was always interesting to see how Shannon's mind worked as a sub and it was exhilarating to see what ways he could push it by doing things to him.

"I'm going to get you some water then and prep for the next thing I want us to try," he said as he took the vampire gloves and put them on Shannon's hands for him to use on himself. Since he obviously enjoyed them, Eli figured it'd be a good idea for Shannon to play with them when Eli was busy. When he spoke next, the command was obvious in his voice. "I want you to use the gloves on yourself now."

The finger on his lips certainly did well to distract him. He licked it again, shifting his head enough to scrape the top row of his teeth along the end of the finger before trying to pull it into his mouth. Much as he wished to continue along that line of playfulness, he really did have to stop when his hands were placed inside gloves — the gloves. He spread his hands out experimentally, then curled them up into fists to feel the metal pressing into the material, a ghost of the feeling that had only just sent him into a wildfire.

Although the harness had come back (when had that happened?), there were still plenty of places to try the gloves. After a quick bout of hesitation, he shifted to try pulling it lightly down his arm; it felt good, it felt as good as before, but something was missing. Next, he tried running it down his side and shuddered, his breath turning into a quiet gasp. Yes, he could definitely do this. "This?" he asked. Was he doing it correctly? Was this what his Dom wanted?

If he wasn't going to do other things, Eli would just let Shannon lick his finger for as long as possible. He loved the feel of a tongue sliding over his skin, doubly so if it was attached to Shannon, and would be happy to just have Shannon lick him wherever he wanted for an entire scene. But, Eli had to be a good Dom and he was distracting Shannon with vampire gloves now, so he'd have to revisit that later.

"Yes, just like that. Try the gloves all over your body, see what feels best for you. I'll be watching the entire time and want to see how much you like my gloves touching you." Thankfully, everything Eli needed was in the same room, so he could indeed watch Shannon while he grabbed things. Plus, he wouldn't have to fear Shannon going to far and hurting himself with them since he can still keep an eye on him.

When his Dom got up and moved away, he sat still for a moment and simply trained what senses he could on tracking him. Once he was satisfied that his Dom was still there and that he wasn't about to lose him, he started to let his hands wander with a light pressure around his chest and sides, wandering up to his neck and behind his shoulders, anywhere he could reach without moving too much. There was no rhyme or reason to the movement, just an attempt to recreate the spark his Dom had inspired before. When his hand found the collar, he paused and merely brushed his covered knuckles along it in incoherent thoughtfulness. Already it was something to signify safety because it meant his Dom wanted him, physical and constant proof right there.

Amid his erratic breaths and quiet sounds of pleasure whenever he hit a good spot, he made a quiet and frustrated noise. As good as it felt, he didn't feel right doing it himself. He settled for letting his hands play along his outer thigh and what of his abdomen he could reach with the harness fitted on so snugly. Maybe his Dom would pick it up and do the same himself.

While Eli was moving around the room, grabbing water bottles for Shannon to drink and melting the wax he had bought in small metal bowls on a nearby table, his focus was on Shannon and his attempts to use the gloves on himself. It was obvious even from his distance that it wasn't the same for him doing it to himself that it was when Eli did it. That was definitely interesting and it made Eli grin. Walking back over to the bed with the water bottles, he sat down, stilled one of Shannon's hands, and removed the glove from it before putting it on and cupping the side of his face gently.

"It's not as good as when I do it, now is it? If I didn't have something else planned, we would continue this, but for now it's time for you to drink," he said as he opened the bottle and pressed it to his mouth so that he could drink. This was more important than playing around and he'll make sure he has enough water before they'll go back to play.

It was a relief to have his Dom come back, and he pressed his cheek firmly to the hand against it. Not hard enough to break skin, thankfully, but enough to really feel the prickle there while his other hand reached up to splay against his Dom's chest and let the glove catch in the material there between them.

At the order, he drank obediently until the bottle was empty. It was easy to do, and when he was done, his free hand twitched. He put his hand up around the hand at his face and squeezed in signal that he was done.

He was definitely glad to see how Shannon reacted to his return. It meant that he was doing this right and that comforted him. With the water bottle empty, Eli put it aside and leaned in to give Shannon a kiss while his gloved hand moved down to rest on his shoulder. He didn't want to accidentally hurt him with the glove while doing this. They could play more with the gloves later if Shannon wished to, but for now it was time for other things.

"Do you need more or shall we move on?" He glanced over to where the wax was melting and there was definitely enough to start now, but that could wait if he needed more to drink. There wasn't enough wax to start overflowing the small containers he put them in, so even if they had to wait a bit, they'd wouldn't make a mess on his table.
