Shannon was anxious. Not in a bad way, but the anticipatory way that everyone got when something new and exciting was going up and there was no way it could go badly, but predicting the end outcome was almost impossible. It was a great feeling, but one that left Shannon feeling like a teen heading out to prom instead of a grown man getting ready to have fun with his boyfriend and potentially make some hilariously heartfelt gestures to express his trust in Eli. That was probably something he didn't do enough in general, actually.

Breakfast had been something simple. Pancakes, fresh cut fruit and sausage. Eli had come over pretty early to get ready, talking over the generalities of what they were going to do while the specifics were to wait for after they were done. Well, now they were done and sitting on the couch, and Shannon's leg was jiggling even under the hand he had placed on his knee to keep himself still. Lacey had wandered off after breakfast, stomach filled with her own food and presumably was napping on the foot of the bed in Shannon's room. Probably for the better, really.

"So," he said, ignoring the obvious tell he was giving off. If Eli took it for misapprehension, then Shannon was going to definitely lean over and smack him. "Where do we start?"

Shannon gave a sharp breath right into the kiss when Eli grasped at his hair, a sting mixed with the sensitive nerves enough to snap his attention to Eli and away from the rest of the room for now. He huffed softly at being pushed back, hitching one leg up to the edge of the bed as if to rearrange himself to something more comfortable for the both of them. He was quite obviously into this, but even more obviously still holding onto his own control thus far.

"Everything?" he repeated. His hand being pulled away wasn't unexpected and it seemed to still him somewhat. He hummed quietly, softly, before he acquiesced, "Guess I can behave if it means finding out what's in the bag. What rules this time?"

Loosening the grasp on Shannon's hair, he started to pet his hair to try getting him to drop faster. He didn't want to waste time dealing with getting Shannon into the right mindset to start the scene and his hair was the weakpoint he loved to exploit to make things head into the right direction faster.

"As much as we can get through before I exhaust you," he said, grinning as he kissed his cheek affectionately. They were definitely going to have fun with what he had in the bag and not only that, it was definitely going to be a learning experience. "Same rules as before. I don't think we need to change them. How about we put you on that harness first before we think about what toys to try out?"

Some of the perpetual tension Shannon kept coiled up began to loosen when Eli began messing with his hair. It wasn't an instant key to mindset they were looking for, but it was the way to make it more accessible from the word go. His head rolled back into the hand while he let Eli card his fingers through and spared some concentration for what Eli was saying.

"Gonna have to work on that," he said. His stamina was definitely the weakest part of their time together, a bright and fantastic burn before all his energy was spent. Considering what mysteries were laid behind door number one, however, Shannon figured he could put some extra effort into lasting it out. "Harness? Oh..." Right, that thing Eli had shown him. A bunch of belts put together that would make anchor points on his own body. That would work. "Okay."

"We'll work on that later." He was going to make sure that they worked on his stamina, but for now, they could work with what little had had and enjoy themselves. Right now, he's just tempted to pet his hair and keep him pinned to the bed, but he did promise the harness and he was going to put that on him to start things off.

Moving away from Shannon, Eli went to the bag and pulled out the harness that he had shown him alongside wrist restraints. Both were going onto Shannon, but first was the harness. He took his time putting it on, sliding it up his legs before making Shannon stand so he could pull it all the way up on him. There wasn't any talking while he was doing this, Eli just focusing on getting the harness on and once it was on, adjusting the straps so that it fit perfectly on him.

Once the harness was on, the next thing was the wrist restraints, which he put on without warning and connected to the front of his harness near his lower abdomen. Then he went not to the bag, but to where his own toys were located and pulled something out before walking back over to Shannon and hooking it onto his collar. It was a leash, a small chain one that Eli was thankfully not tugging on just yet. "So, what do you think of all this?"

Since Eli wasn't speaking, Shannon didn't feel the need to fill in the silence. This was concentration rather than lack of anything to say, and Shannon himself was sucked in as the harness went on. It wasn't the world's most comfortable garment, but it fit surprisingly better than he had imagined it would... even if it still left nothing to the imagination and did nothing to stop him from feeling a bit exposed. When something closed around his wrists next, he went very still. Once Eli had bound his hands up and tethered them to the harness, he had to admit he could see the appeal of having a portable tether for restraints.

Eli moved away again and Shannon tilted his head to listen for what he was doing. His steps took him further than before, and the sounds of what he retrieved made Shannon furrow his brow. When it clicked onto the ring of his collar, he gave a confused and guarded look toward Eli, his hands automatically reaching for it to do something-or-other before they were brought up short by the restraints. It simply added more to the pet metaphor and reminded him of well-meaning busybodies trying to drag him around places when he could handle perfectly well on his own, thank you.

"I think... the leash is probably a bit much. I can follow you without that even if I don't touch," he answered carefully. It did detract a bit from the restraints, and the harness locking him in. "The rest is fine. Good."

At Shannon's comment about the leash, he chuckled softly and moved close to him, wrapping the chain around his own waist to keep them close together. Thankfully, Eli chose one of his longer leashes to do this with for this specific reason. He wasn't going to lead Shannon around with it because unlike some D/s relationships, the sub wasn't a pet to him.

"I didn't bring it out to lead you around like some prized pet," he said calmly, one hand reaching up to stroke the side of his face affectionately before he unclipped the leash from his collar, coiling it up and putting it away before returning and hooking his finger in the collar's ring. "But if you don't want me to use it, I won't. I don't need to use it on you."

Shannon leaned forward when they were pulled together, unable to do more than use the whole of his body to express himself without his hands. His brow furrowed as he followed the motion of the chain and the sounds along with it, then he tilted his head forward to rest his chin on Eli's shoulder until he moved away. The removal of the leash was a relief, but it did still beg a few questions.

"Why bring it out?" he asked. There was only one real reason for a leash to him. It was to keep track of something, lead it along and make sure nothing wandered. Shannon knew he wasn't going to need any of those things, so he couldn't fathom why else it would be used. The collar itself was different, implying something else entirely about why one might use it on people, now that Eli had explained. "If you don't need to use it, even."

"To see how you react," Eli answered with ease as he petted Shannon's hair with his free hand. They were both still new to each other in this part of their relationship and Eli wants to examine everything to see how Shannon would react to things and know what things to not do again. This was no exception. "I don't need to use anything with you, considering my powers, but where's the fun in that?"

He tugged on the collar lightly to bring Shannon closer to him, kissing him on the forehead as he does. "Besides, I like doing this, using all of these items instead of draining myself with my powers. And you like the leather, don't you?"

Now that the leash was put away, the rest of his circumstances began to sink in. Shannon let his head dip when the hand entered his hair, leaning into the weight of Eli's hand at his collar. With the harness connected to the restraints around his wrists, security in the lack of control that he appreciated even now, and the leather pressed against his skin in the harness's web it did bring a good amount of his focus to the physical reality rather than the thoughts tromping around in his head. Having his hair petted helped a whole lot, too.

"Of course," he answered sincerely. He wasn't feeling jerked around by the collar right now, rather than guided, but he was sure it would feel different if it were on a lead, something distant and impersonal putting a distance between him and the Dom holding the end. "You already knew that. Leash wasn't leather, though."

Things were already going better and Eli was glad for that. Now that he had Shannon in the harness and collar, he was content to take his time and pull him into the right mindset for things so that they could have more fun and stop Shannon from questioning everything.

"Mm, that's because it was more for me. I like the feel of chains on my skin." He leaned his forehead against the top of Shannon's head, still carding his fingers through his hair. "But I won't use it again on you. Now, I remember specifically that you wanted to try out pain play, yes?"

Shannon merely relaxed further now that nothing else new was forthcoming. They were just talking, figuring things out, being in their own ways before anything else had to happen. If anything else had to happen. Shannon could probably stay like this for a while, too, drifting further the longer they stayed like that. He filed away the idea of chains somewhere in a pocket of his mind that he could find it again later when he could actually use it.

"What would you have used it for?" That part still didn't quite make sense. Eli said he hadn't intended to lead Shannon around on it, but then what was its purpose? He nodded lightly to the head at the crown of his hair. "Yeah. Isn't that why we just bought a whip?"

"To keep you close," Eli replied. The lack of hands available to touch had made his earlier show of what he wanted not something Shannon had noticed. He'd explain it for him now, though. It wasn't something he was going to keep from him, after all. "If I attach the leash to your collar, I can wrap the length of it around myself so that we can stay close together. Think of it as a mutual bondage moment instead of me using a leash on you."

With a gentle tug and a soft "Come with me," Eli led Shannon across the room where his bondage frame was placed. Detaching the restraints from the harness, he freed Shannon's hands and took one to place it on the frame for him to examine. "If we're going to do this right, then I'm going to put you on this for our first try with the whip."

Shannon was quiet up until his hands were freed and one was placed upon the rung of the frame. He brought up his other hand and began to feel out its shape, slowly letting it come together in his mind. Usually he let his imagination and other senses fill in when he couldn't afford to give something the patdown, but with just the two of them there and Shannon being encouraged to check it out, he felt safe enough to give it more than just a once-over.

After a moment, he said, "That doesn't sound too bad. The... mutual bondage moment thing. How am I gonna go on this thing?" Leave it to Eli to find an alternate use for something that really should have no other use for it. On the other hand, some things worked perfectly as intended and he wondered just how effective this frame was going to be.

When Shannon started exploring the A-frame, Eli let go of his collar and stepped away to give him space. He also returned to the bag and pulled out the whip as well as ankle restraints. They'd definitely need them for attaching him to the frame once they started to set up for this part of their scene. He went back to Shannon and merely grinned at his question before going about showing him how this would go while explaining.

"With this frame and many others, your hands are to be attached above your head like so," he said as he took one of Shannon's hands and placed it up where it was going to he hooked to the frame itself. Then he bent down and started putting on the anklet restraints while he moved on to the next part. "Your legs are also attached to the frame at the base of it. This specific frame is an A-frame and it's much easier on a beginner like you than a St. Andrews Cross would be."

When Eli moved away, Shannon kept part of his attention toward his boyfriend. It wasn't hard or anything, head tilted to the side to take in the noise and figure what he was doing, while he studied the frame of the so-called A-frame. It was simple enough, almost like a ladder that thinned out the further you went up. He was going to be attached to that?

He let himself be moved and listened attentively while it was explained. Eli started to work on his ankles and he automatically shifted them to give better access, hand gripping the rung where Eli had placed it to steady himself. If all he needed to do was be attached to the frame, that sounded almost too simple. "What's the difference?" Why would one be easier than the other?

"Weight distribution, mostly. You're not used to being on the frame, so your body's going to protest a bit. The A-frame's going to ease you into things and if you want to keep doing this, we'll eventually move you on to the other one." It was as simple as that to Eli. If Shannon liked it, they'd keep doing it and if he didn't, they wouldn't.

He stood up, running his hand up his leg as he did and then moved to partially remove the harness, the parts covering his chest and torso being taken off and left hanging around his waist. For this, they can't keep the harness on for fear of injury, but Eli knew that taking it off completely would leave Shannon fully naked if they excluded the collar. "I'm going to put you on the frame and give you a moment to get used to it. Then I'll start with the whip, okay?"

Shannon tried to let himself relax as they went on. Eli was being patient and calm as usual and it was only Shannon himself keeping him from calming down enough. He simply felt very... open to the elements, as it were, in a way that only marginally had to do with his nakedness. Being on the frame in that state was going to be an experience, even more if he managed to slip down into his own head before they started. That was probably the only way he wasn't going to tense up during the session.

It took a moment for Shannon to notice the harness being partially detached, as the hand up his leg brushed over one of his sensitive spots and he had to turn his head away, breathe in a shuddering breath and his toes curled all automatically. That tickled, and ticklishness was not going to be helpful to continuing the mood. "Yeah," he said. "Sure. Shouldn't need too long."

Even now, Eli was still finding ticklish spots and cataloging them so that he didn't run into them during times like this. He noticed and noted where it was so he didn't end up accidentally hitting it again. Once he was standing, he moved behind Shannon and wrapped his arms around his while he kissed his shoulder, turning it into a playful bite to try to turn his thoughts from thinking.

"Then let's get started, shall we?" He hummed his words against his skin before he moved away and started to put Shannon on the frame, hands going first before he went back down to his feet. When he was secured onto the frame, Eli placed one hand on his back while the other was in his hair, gentle and comforting as he could be. He wanted Shannon to be relaxed on the frame and was doing his best to help that. "Remember, if it's too much for you, I can take you down at any time."

With the solid frame holding him up and Eli at his back, Shannon leaned into the touch and let it wash over him. His extremities were bound, but he still had the motion of his torso and he would use that how he could. Right now he just wanted to be close to Eli, to let himself sink into his presence and change the very world's rotation to surround only the two of them.

"I'll be fine," he assured, tone vague in distraction thanks to the hand in his hair. He was beginning to go under, a slow fall into the lulling corner of his mind. Nothing could go wrong there. "Just let it share my weight, right?"

"Yes, that's right," he said as he leaned in against Shannon, hand moving to his side so it wouldn't get in the way. Still petting, Eli moved so that his mouth was next to his ear so that he could speak to him low and soft. "Just make yourself as comfortable as you can and try to relax. I'll be right here with you the whole time."

He's perfect content to stay up next to Shannon like this until he relaxes into this more, especially since this is their first time together after the mess that was Matheus walking in on them and Michelle ending up as a third part of their relationship. Eli's glad that things don't seem to be too awkward between them, but he is trying to be careful for Shannon's sake more than anything else.

It was only a matter of time before the calm, the quiet and Eli's presence would do it. Although it was slow going, it had nothing to do with their previous disastrous attempt, and everything to do with the odd circumstances of their session today. Eventually his body relaxed and his mind wandered somewhere safe, and he leaned further against Eli without jolting against the frame where he was still attached.

"Could just stay like this," he suggested, a bit of teasing to go with the sincerity.

It was easy for him to tell when Shannon got to the point where they could continue. With a smile and a soft laugh, he leaned his head against Shannon's with amusement at his comment. As much as he liked the idea of Shannon just staying on the frame, Eli had better plans for the rest of their scene.

"We could, but where would the fun be in that?" He tugged on Shannon's hair playfully as he kissed his cheek. Eli was definitely glad that Shannon had relaxed enough for them to continue. "I could think of better things we could be doing right now."

Shannon grinned and hummed softly, not tugging against the frame but not really leaning on it, either. Eli was the better support. At the light hair tug, he grunted appropriately and pressed his cheek to Eli's to try and be closer and also add more pressure against his hair. It felt good.

"Better things? Mm... the whip," he said slowly, remembering what they were there for. His mind wandered to the bag and the mysterious contents wherein. "What else?"

"One thing at a time," he chided gently. Eli knew exactly where he was going with that and he didn't quite want to ruin the surprise just yet. They'd get to that when they get to that. "We'll get to those when we're done with the whip."

Finally, he pulled away and picked up the whip, cracking it with a sharp snap in the air to test it out. It seemed to be of good quality and he'd keep an eye on it. Thankfully, they weren't going to be doing this long, just a couple strikes to see how Shannon thought about it. "Are you ready?"

There was a quiet huff at the denial, but nothing said against it. If they were going to get to it, then he trusted that Eli wouldn't forget about those surprises. He was just so curious... As he moved away, Shannon shifted to better hold his own weight in the odd position of being braced by the frame. He didn't really want to press up against it considering his current state of dress (or lack thereof), but he could make this as comfortable as possible.

When the whip cracked, his head tilted over his shoulder. The vibration of the sound brushed across his skin and he tried to imagine what that would be like in full-force. It was a little daunting, but not enough to give him any second thoughts. It would just be something new for Eli to try, Shannon's body a canvas of a different type for the experiment. "Yeah," he answered. "Yes, sir. I'm ready."
