When Eli moved away, Shannon kept part of his attention toward his boyfriend. It wasn't hard or anything, head tilted to the side to take in the noise and figure what he was doing, while he studied the frame of the so-called A-frame. It was simple enough, almost like a ladder that thinned out the further you went up. He was going to be attached to that?

He let himself be moved and listened attentively while it was explained. Eli started to work on his ankles and he automatically shifted them to give better access, hand gripping the rung where Eli had placed it to steady himself. If all he needed to do was be attached to the frame, that sounded almost too simple. "What's the difference?" Why would one be easier than the other?
