Shannon was anxious. Not in a bad way, but the anticipatory way that everyone got when something new and exciting was going up and there was no way it could go badly, but predicting the end outcome was almost impossible. It was a great feeling, but one that left Shannon feeling like a teen heading out to prom instead of a grown man getting ready to have fun with his boyfriend and potentially make some hilariously heartfelt gestures to express his trust in Eli. That was probably something he didn't do enough in general, actually.

Breakfast had been something simple. Pancakes, fresh cut fruit and sausage. Eli had come over pretty early to get ready, talking over the generalities of what they were going to do while the specifics were to wait for after they were done. Well, now they were done and sitting on the couch, and Shannon's leg was jiggling even under the hand he had placed on his knee to keep himself still. Lacey had wandered off after breakfast, stomach filled with her own food and presumably was napping on the foot of the bed in Shannon's room. Probably for the better, really.

"So," he said, ignoring the obvious tell he was giving off. If Eli took it for misapprehension, then Shannon was going to definitely lean over and smack him. "Where do we start?"

As much as he had been trying to deny it, Eli really wanted to get off and Michelle's hand felt wonderful to him right now. He thrust forward into her hand and Shannon before he pulled himself together and reached down to still Michelle's hand, not removing it because he knew that he would turn to Shannon for relief instead. Speaking of Shannon, Michelle noticed his hand and moved it to her breast where he could touch her and not have to do much to make her feel good.

"Shannon," she said, her tone firm yet gentle at the same time. Eli jerk his head up to look at her, his confusion obvious. "I wish for your man to fuck me. Will you allow him to do so? We are both needing this and you are coming down, so it should be acceptable, yes? Unless you want for yourself and will not share."

Oh, he could do that. Once his hand was placed, Shannon began to fondle the area with light but knowing touches. He couldn't manage anything focused or work up to anything, but hopefully even the aimless motions would be enough to help Michelle out. He blinked against the air, moistened his eyes, and turned his head more properly in her direction at the odd question. There was a lot to go over in what she had just asked.

Sharing seemed to be the name of the game, confusingly enough. Shannon had never really taken Eli for a multiple-partners sort of thing and Shannon himself knew that jealousy was one of his worst enemies. However, none of this felt wrong, it just felt... disconnected. Like he was asleep despite being so oddly aware. Turning to face Eli, and addressing him more than Michelle despite answering her question, he said, "Okay?"

Expectations weren't high when she placed his hand there. What his hand could do was enough, especially if she and Eli would finally get together and fuck so that she could feel less like a wire strung tight. She knew Eli felt the same way, but he was putting Shannon ahead of him, even though she could tell subdrop wasn't going to happen to him now. He was worried and she was frustrated and they needed to get together to fix this.

"I want to," Eli said honestly to Shannon. It was a surprise for those words to come out of his mouth, but it was true. He wanted her and the thought of being in her was a bit of a rush. It wasn't that he wanted her more than Shannon, since that was something completely impossible, but he craved her right here and now because she could get him off so he could return to curling up with his boyfriend, the most important person in his life. "Will you allow me to have sex with her?"

Shannon let his eyes droop closed. The hand on Eli's back curled and then relaxed more than once before he let himself nod and hum. He wanted Eli to get the help he needed that he was far too out of it and satiated to provide for himself. He was the jealous type certainly, but not particularly vindictive to the people he cared about. "Go get 'er," he agreed. They would probably have to talk about all this later, but for now it seemed like the simplest way to get everyone in as good a mood as Shannon himself was in.

All of that said, he didn't move or try to change positions at all. He still didn't want to be separated from the people around him and if they were going to go at it, they would probably find him worming his way in between whether he intended to participate or not. The only real danger present was that he might fall asleep on them before they had finished, and that didn't really seem so bad at all.

Eli didn't move at first, instead taking a moment to look at Shannon. He honestly didn't expect Shannon to say yes, but he was glad he did. Sure, they'd have to definitely talk about this later and what it meant for them going forward, though it didn't matter right now. Right now, it was them taking care of each other and that was the important thing. Leaning down, he kissed Shannon long and slow as a thank you and when he finally pulled away, Michelle leaned down to kiss Shannon as well. All of this was because of him and they weren't going to forget him just because of their own needs.

Time went on and later, after everything was done, they talked and talked and were all very confused by what this meant. It didn't change their relationship beyond the fact that they now had a friend with benefits that they could rely on. But a week after their last scene, Shannon and Eli finally got together again, not for a scene, but to go shopping which, as Eli eagerly explained, was something they needed to do for Shannon if they wanted to continue exploring the D/s portion of their relationship. Eli came over and picked Shannon up and decided that the first thing they needed to shop for was a proper outfit and some extras, so he was taking him there first. He was energetic and excited for this because it was an important step for them and made this a little bit more permanent than it was previously.

It didn't take much convincing to get Shannon out shopping. He was morbidly curious what sorts of tools tended to be used in activities like D/s. Sure, he had heard of the whips and the paddles and all of that, but there had to be more than just the cliches everyone already knew about. There had been zero chance Shannon would look into this sort of thing on his own, partially due to his blindness, but mostly because he had no idea what he would be looking for or how Eli would react to anything he might have brought back on his own.

"So, when you say outfit..." Raising his brows, Shannon turned toward Eli to share his expression. Did Eli mean something like what he tended to wear when they got together for their scenes? More leather than a sane human being would think to cover themselves in?

"It's not really something the average person would call an outfit," Eli said with some slight amusement in his voice. His idea of an outfit for their scenes was more of a harness than something that covered him up. Having Shannon just in his boxers was nice, but it would be better for Eli if Shannon wore something that could be used for bondage. "What I'm thinking is something that wouldn't cover you up much so much as help me out."

The shop Eli was taking him to was one he had been to plenty of times when he was really active in the scene before his adventures across the multiverse. Part of him wondered if anybody noticed him, though he was sure that they'd notice them considering the way Shannon looked. He was a highly attractive man and they'd definitely get some stares walking in.

Face twisting as Shannon tried to imagine something in the vein of helping out, he asked, "But they'll still be some kind of clothes, right? Leather?" he appended, trying to sound casual. He couldn't help it if he loved the feel. Plenty of people did. No matter what the price ended up being, he figured that it was definitely a matter of quality over quantity. His wallet could weep all it wanted.

Although Shannon was completely unaware of Eli's reputation, he wouldn't be overly surprised at the attention. From what he understood, the D/s community was as vain as any other could be, where the prizes to show off for everyone to oooh and ahhh at was your partner rather than something a little more inanimate. Stares had never bothered him for an obvious reason; as long as people didn't get in his and Lacey's way, he honestly didn't mind. It felt damn good to have people appreciate you even if they had no idea who you were.

"It'll be leather," he said as he skipped past part of his question. Eli would give him pants, but he was going to buy him a harness for the majority of the time. The less Shannon wore, the more vulnerable he was, which meant that a harness was perfect for what Eli had planned to help him get into subspace. It would be something that Shannon would have to get used to, but it would definitely be worth it.

They finally made it to the shop and Eli held the door open for Shannon and Lacey. The guy behind the counter spotted Lacey before Shannon and said, "Hey, no dogs allowed in here. It's gonna have to wait outside."

"She's a service dog, idiot, so unless you want us to not buy your subpar goods, we'll leave with the dog," Eli said as he followed behind Shannon. That seemed to pull the guy's attention away from Lacey and he grinned.

"Well if it isn't the kid all grown up. Hell, if the dog's with you, then she's fine." He finally also seemed to notice Shannon and let out a low whistle, which made some of the other customers look up where the two were, some seeming to recognize Eli and definitely checking out Shannon. "And if you really thought my shit was subpar, you wouldn't be bringing your boytoy along to shop."

"Excuse you, that's boyfriend and your shit's the cheapest on the southside, so you better fucking believe I'm shopping here," Eli replied with a grin and definitely a joking tone in his voice. It was definitely the comfortable banter that happened between friends than anything truly malicious.

"That's not how you speak to a lady," Shannon said with a chastising expression in the direction of the employee. He had definitely picked up on the banter between them and allowed himself some obvious preening for the positive attention rather than get annoyed someone couldn't recognize a service dog when they saw one. "You should apologize to her."

As they entered the store, Shannon looped an arm around Eli's waist. There were definite tones of possessiveness in it, but he also didn't want Eli to get pulled away by someone who would rather talk endlessly about some obscure old days than let them shop in peace. Not without Shannon coming along, anyway. Eli was his anchor here and as much as Shannon wasn't one easily lost, this entire thing was admittedly beyond his usual depth.

"I'm sorry if I disrespected her," the man said from the counter and Eli snorted from his position next to Shannon. It seemed he was a suck up even after all these years. He eyed how Shannon was possessive of Eli and he tilted his head towards him. "So, sub or Dom? I know you go both ways, kid."

"Dom this time," Eli said as he directed Shannon over to where they kept the bondage gear, stopping in front of the harnesses so that he could pick them up and check them out, looking for one that would work best with Shannon. "Don't you have other customers to bother?"

"You've been gone for a couple years, kid. What the hell happened?" He sounded concerned by that and it was obvious that there was something there that wasn't being said. The fact that a guy working at a bondage shop knew Eli and apparently knew him well enough to be worried when he disappeared off the face of the earth was definitely confusing.

Shannon went with Eli, doing little to hide how close he wanted to stay for now. Thankfully Lacey was a wonderful partner and could keep pace despite being beholden to a second person on top of guiding Shannon. He tilted his head when they stopped, shifting his arm up to try and catch his fingers on whatever Eli was messing around with for his own inspection.

"Bit of a favorite here?" he murmured curiously to Eli. It wasn't even a question what the employee was talking about, although Shannon was wondering as to how familiar the two really seemed. Shannon wasn't one to pry at other peoples' pasts for no reason, but he certainly was one to pry when it could possibly involve himself or his friends. "Or do you actually know him?"

"I'll tell you what happened later. Will you let me shop with my boyfriend, please?" That seemed to shut the guy up and Eli went back to the harnesses and held one out for Shannon to investigate. It was all leather straps with metal rings and definitely something that didn't seem to be clothing. "I actually know him. We met when I was young and stupid. What do you think of this?"

He honestly didn't mind Shannon's closeness, leaning into it slightly. It was obvious that Shannon was out of his element and Eli didn't mind staying next to him to comfort him. Hopefully without anybody bothering them, Shannon would relax more and they'd be able to pick out things more easily.

"Is that a subject change?" Not that Shannon minded if it was; he just wanted to know if Eli thought that he had answered or if he were specifically avoiding an answer.

He let his fingers roam, ducking into the rings and tugging on the straps to see which way the tension led, locating all the directions the harness separated into before coming back together at other points. Frankly, it felt like some kind of tangle of straps for which he couldn't completely devise the use. By the buckles and many different fittings to make a one size fits all type of feeling, he was certain it had something to do with the bondage side of things. Only, he no idea how to incorporate it as an actual object or how it was to be used. "Feels nice, good quality. Bit busy, maybe. What is it?" he asked.

"Partially," he admitted. It wasn't like he wanted to talk about his past in the scene when they were here to shop and get things for Shannon. He wasn't supposed to be the focus here, after all. Hopefully Shannon would pick that up from him.

"It's a harness," Eli explained, holding it up so that it would hang in a way that would show how it would appear on a man's body. "The rings hanging off of it are to attach chains and other things to the harness so that you don't need an outside apparatus. So if I put it on you, I could do something like restrain your limbs or keep you tethered wherever I wanted." That wasn't mentioning the fact that it didn't cover anything up so Eli could admire his body for the entire scene.

That made him double-take. Well, really, it made him shift his grip and go over the entire thing again, letting his mind fill in all of the blanks while he cataloged the general placements and rings for the mentioned chaining. As the picture started to take shape in his mind, he tilted his head against Eli's and huffed in amusement. "Is this your idea of an outfit?"

It made him a bit apprehensive for the same reason Eli wanted to try it out in the first place. Control. Vulnerability. He wasn't quite used to the idea of it until he was in the zone; it wasn't uncomfortable, just something else he needed to find a mental box for. Exactly why they were there broadening his horizons, put more defined walls on the experience and maybe make a new box entirely.

"For a scene? Yes. For what it's worth, I think you might enjoy it once we try it out, but if you don't want me to get it, I'm sure we could find something else." He was hoping Shannon would let him grab it because it would be pushing boundaries and deepening the bond between them during their scene, not to mention that it would make restraining him far more simpler and would keep them from being restricted on locations to do bondage.

"I was thinking about other outfits too, but one of those would involve pants. And we're getting other things besides outfits, don't forget. This is really a sort of starter kit for the D/s scene," he said easily, leaning against him slightly.

"You know I'm willing to try," Shannon said. It wasn't an outright spoken thing, but he considered himself made of tough enough stuff—and trusted Eli enough to gauge what he was suggesting before he did it—to give most things at least the good ol' college try. After a moment, he added, "But I'm guessing they don't take returns in case we don't like it."

With Eli leaning against him, he shifted his hand away from the harness for the moment to wrap more solidly around his boyfriend's waist. Maybe he was showing off, but so what? It was nice to have someone to show off. They could be in their own little world, whether it was a D/s scene or when standing on equal footing, and that wasn't something that Shannon found often. "Something every household needs, huh. What else are you thinking?"

"I have to ask, you know that. If you don't like it, I can always add it to my collection," he said with a shrug. He always liked adding new gear to replace some of his older stuff, though he really hoped Shannon would like it. Harnesses were fun and felt good when they rubbed against his body when he wore them and depending on how the straps in the crotch were, it'd definitely make for a fun time.

"Wrist and ankle restraints, chains, you mentioned wanting to try out wax, get a whip and a flogger to try out pain play, and a few other things that I think you'd end up liking." There was an obvious smile to his voice in that. He had plans for what he wanted to grab for Shannon and he knew that there wouldn't be too much problems with disliking items. He hung the harness on his right arm and placed another one with a different crotch design on his arm as well before moving Shannon along to the next item, stopping when he noticed there were clamps.

"Your vast and mysterious collection," he teased. Not that it was really all that of a mystery considering it all had to do with scenes and their newly-mutual interest. At some point, Shannon did want to inspect all the other sorts of things Eli had amassed over the years. At the same time, he appreciated going out to get something new for his own first time in trying out such specific equipment. He made note of Eli picking up another one for some reason, the sound being enough to give it away, and said nothing on it.

That was quite the list, and Shannon chuckled in reply. "A few other things, huh? Pretty extensive already. Bet you could find a hundred uses for each of those." As Eli paused, he gently pulled for Lacey to stop as well, brows quirked expectantly if Eli bothered looking over. "Found something already?"

"You'll get the chance to check it out once I think you're ready for it. Seeing my collection can be a bit overwhelming." It was true, Eli had a lot of things that could make most people go pale at the sight of. For all the years he's been in the scene, he has collected a number of toys and furniture and gear to the point where he could host his own dungeon, even though it was all for personal use and something he'd never share except with his sub. When Shannon was ready, then Eli would show him.

"You have no idea," he said before he truly got distracted by the clamps. His response to Shannon's question was a soft mmhm before he handed Shannon a clamp to examine. "What do you think of this?"

"You're the boss." That was that. Shannon shrugged and let the matter lie. Truth was, Shannon didn't want to push anything too hard when it came to D/s. His own lack of knowledge made it exciting and interesting, but it also made him acutely aware that Eli was the one with the reins and had a much, much better idea of when to move on to the next step.

When something was placed in his hand, Shannon turned it over and let his fingers check all pieces of the surface before he offered any ideas. The type of design certainly lent itself to a specific answer. "Some kind of clip?" he mused. "Hold chains together or something?"

"Damn right I am." He grinned and didn't push the matter either. Shannon was learning and he wasn't going to force him to push himself when Eli wasn't going to let him do something anyway. Even though he had plans for later, they didn't involve showing off his entire collection to Shannon. It'd be a waste of time when Eli was hoping to do something else.

"Clamp. You put a pair on your nipples, tighten them up, and then you can do a number of things with them." He watched Shannon study it for a moment before he leaned over to whisper something to him. "You want to try it? Right now?"

"What?" Although the answer was a whisper in reply, Shannon definitely was not quite sure what Eli had just said until he ran it back over in his mind. Okay, so a pair of clamps that went on your nipples to... do things with? And Eli wanted Shannon to give them a whirl right in the middle of the store? He was up for new things and trying whatever Eli thought appropriate, but that seemed horrendously ballsy even for Eli.

Tilting his head with a look of genuine consideration, he whispered back, "Are you asking me to take my shirt off in front of the entire store right now, Mr. Delacroix?" Generally speaking, that sort of behavior tended to get people banned.

"You heard what I said." Eli was the sort to throw the rules out the window, which was never something he hid. His existence was against all sort of normal rules, but yet here he was. It was an exhilarating prospect and they'd get to see how Shannon felt about nipple clamps. To him, it looked like a win-win situation.

"Not take it off completely. You could just pull it up a bit," he whispered back. Of course he forgot about what Eli could do since he wasn't affected by it. Thankfully, he'd fix that error. "Besides, nobody would see you. If I use my illusion powers, it'd be like we're just standing here like normal. You'd have to stay quiet since I can't cover sound though."
