While Shannon might have accepted things as they were and moved on, Eli couldn't just for the fact that Shannon could. When he had been forced to tell Shannon why the scene had played out as it had, Eli had figured that Shannon would get upset and angry, but Shannon didn't do any of that and now Eli was very confused about the whole thing. He was still very much willing to do a scene alone with him, but he was still put off balance by his boyfriend.

When he got to Shannon's place, his first action wasn't to say hello to him or get him into the scene, but to say hello to Lacey and apologize for taking her human away for a while. Once greeting between Aspect and dog were over and Eli told her to lay down, he was back to Shannon, kissing him on the cheek as a hello. Bag on his shoulder, he shook it a little so that it made noise so that Shannon knew he had it.

"Brought your collar and a few other things," Eli said cheerfully as he checked front door and locked it. He didn't want anything to ruin the scene by walking in or any other way. Today was theirs and Eli was going to make sure Shannon was his for the entire time. "How do you feel about wearing your harness today?"
