aggrandize[ On good days, Chris's routine can be rather... well, routine. On crazy days, they're being invaded by aliens and entering space battles and it's the fun and exhilarating kind of crazy. On annoying days, there is absolutely nothing to do on the ship which means everyone is looking to do menial shit and being good at being good at things backfires right in the ensign's face on days like these.
It's another annoying day today and most departments are trying to vie for his time, as the lack of red alert state makes his presence in the armory negligible. Right now, he's found himself inside a jeffries tube with a datapad full of the latest reports of his security level on different topics surrounding the Enterprise.
... okay, and maybe he has a few for-fun fiction novels in there, too. Not that anyone's going to find them on pain of their deaths. Hopefully no one thinks to look in the shafts of deck level D for him before his shift on patrol. ]
