This was definitely not how Chris expected his time in the past to go. Despite interference not only from Leo once he returned, Cole Turner was getting in the way to an extreme degree that Chris hadn't anticipated. In his own time, Cole was long gone and taken care of by Wyatt, dead just like anyone else. Here in the past, the half-demon was still kicking and on some unknown agenda that Chris had never bothered to really investigate as long as Cole kept his distance from little Wyatt.

That was turning out to be a mistake.

Now he was in the Underworld, bound up in a way he couldn't properly move and couldn't orb out and his nerves were already beginning to fray. With the way the sisters didn't quite know whether to trust him or not and his father already out for his blood, the chances of them putting a priority on Chris's rescue were uncertain. Whatever it was Cole planned to do with the Charmed Ones' whitelighter, he couldn't imagine it was pretty.

"Hey, are you just going to stand there all day?" he taunted. Never let it be said Chris wasn't a Halliwell, whether anyone knew it or not. Sitting and taking whatever this was just wouldn't do.

No matter what twists and bends Cole wrung his mind into, Chris was determined to fight until the very last moment when he shattered to pieces. He had to hold out, couldn't bear to let himself give in. His pride and loyalty to his family simply wouldn't let him, even when he was past the point of remembering the reasons for fighting. The instinct was powerful enough and it was his only saving grace when everything else had started to slip away.

"Bianca," he said softly. Cole's wording put a weight in his stomach and Chris wasn't sure to make of that, but he knew for a fact that Bianca was there. If not physically or in this time, then in spirit and support. She had put all of her faith in him and he promised to come back to her. Chris still needed to do that. Why didn't Cole understand that? "Bianca's on my side."

Well, if there was one thing that could be said about Cole, it was that he was stubborn. Setbacks weren't much of a problem for him and he was going to plow on through it. Unfortunately, Chris was just as stubborn, so this was definitely going to take quite a while for this fight to end. Cole at least had his cleverness on his side alongside the magic he was using to break Chris's mind into something far more willing to be shaped and molded into what he wanted.

"Tell me about Bianca," he ordered gently. This was definitely a major setback, but this was also an opportunity. He could use what Chris felt towards Bianca to be put towards himself instead, destroying her claim on Chris's heart and making all of him Cole's sole property. There was no way he was going to share any part of his new whitelighter with anyone else, especially somebody he had no clue about.

That order set something off. Bianca was his love, his life and his reason for standing strong against everything happening in the past. Of course he lasted through determination and love for his family, but Bianca was the one who gave him strength and purpose through it all. She wasn't for anyone else, just the two of them in their future that would hopefully cease to exist once they were done with this mission. He shuddered, eyes fluttering closed and he leaned forward to hide his face along Cole's neck to avoid looking at him. His limited movement reminded him of the harness and kept him from getting too agitated and yet he held on to Bianca as best he could.

"Stop," he said. He could feel the rest of his words fighting to escape, to tell Cole everything and give Bianca to him, too. It was an almost painful urge, his head beginning to swim from the resistance while he felt that cool oil coating his mind begin dripping down onto his heart, tainting it like the rest. This was one thing he had to keep and yet every moment ticked closer to the point where Chris would give it all up just like he had everything else so far. "Please. Stop it."

Chris was trying to hide from him, create some kind of protection from his words by not looking at him and Cole wasn't going to allow it. Both hands reached up to pull Chris's head away carefully, cupping his face and holding it in front of Cole's firmly. "Open your eyes and look at me Chris," he ordered just as firmly as the grip on his face. "You don't want to hide from me. You enjoy everything I give you."

Then he leaned in a gave him a little peck on the lips, the tiniest hint of affection despite how he was ripping everything he could from Chris and leaving him nothing to call his own but what Cole allowed him. "No. You don't want me to stop. You want to tell me everything. Even now you can feel that need to give me what I want," he murmured softly. "Tell me about Bianca, Chris. You'll feel so much better once you do."

It was impossible to avoid Cole's gaze. As soon as his eyes opened of their own accord, Chris found himself looking right into those blue eyes that gave him everything good. Something was bundled up in his chest at the thought but his mind was losing the small grip it had gained on his independence and he found his shoulders slumping. "Sorry," he said simply. Why was he trying to hide? Cole hadn't hurt him, had done nothing but try to ask him... a question... Why was he starting to shake at the thought?

Chris spoke, ignoring the pain growing in his chest in favor of the warmth spreading through him for the obedience. He wanted this, had to make known what Bianca was to him for Cole to be happy with him. He still struggled, unsure why he wanted Cole to be happy, but it was a losing battle. "She's my fiancée," he said, voice reluctant at the start. The longer he spoke the easier it became to keep going, knots forcibly loosening from the admittance. "We promised to get married once we fixed the future. She stayed behind when I left to cover me. She... she means the world to me. Bianca's on my side, too."

When Chris opened his eyes, Cole smiled warmly. All he needed was to push at the right points and Chris would open up for him. Seeing him struggle with this was intoxicating and he wanted to do more to make Chris fully his. "It's okay, Chris. I know you're confused by all of this, but you know that I'm here for you. I'm here to help you and all you need to do is open yourself up for me so that I can."

There was a moment when he didn't say anything, processing everything Chris was telling him. This was going to be a difficult one, but Cole didn't care. In the end, Chris was going to be his and there was nothing the whitelighter could do to stop that. "That's not right. You know that's not right," he said softly. "You're remembering that wrong. She's not on your side. She stayed behind to make you do this by yourself. I'm the only one that's by your side, Chris, and always have been. You know that there's only one person who means the world to you and it isn't her. You've always known that, but you lied to yourself because you were afraid to actually act on it."

No matter what he did, Chris couldn't get his mind away from Cole. There was just no recourse when all of the little things kept piling up into bigger and everything he was saying made perfect sense. Perfect sense except that something just would not let him rest and accept it all without any sort of a fight. He wanted it to stop, but knew that he wouldn't be able to do it on his own. "I'm trying," he said honestly. Whatever part of him didn't want this wasn't letting him give up, but he was getting closer to being able to accept everything without complication.

"What?" said Chris, faint and suddenly uncertain. That wasn't right, he knew what he was remembering. Except that the longer he dwelled on it, the more it no longer seemed to make sense. It was like a puzzle that had somehow been put together all wrong but he couldn't quite see where the pieces were supposed to fit or how he had messed them up. His heart was aching, each beat another pain. Nothing was adding up. "I... I don't understand."

That was what Cole wanted, for Chris to be unable to escape from Cole in any form, whether it be physically or mentally. Moving closer, he brushed his lips against Chris's, teasing him to try to reach out and grab the affection that Cole was willing to give him. "I know you are," he said easily and it was the truth. He knew Chris was trying to give in despite his better judgement. "You're doing so good. It'll feel much better when you accept everything I give you. You know that."

Seeing Chris fight over him twisting his memories was definitely a heady feeling. He wanted more from Chris and he wanted to see him struggle more despite wanting to inevitably see him give in and become his. It was definitely exhilarating and he wanted to keep going. "It was never Bianca that you thought of so dearly. It was me, Chris. It's always been me," he said and the tone of his voice changing to something that was filled with nothing but love for the whitelighter in front of him. "I love you, Chris, and you love me. You know that I mean the world to you and that I only want to help you. You've always known, but you were afraid. You found her and used her to hide your feelings for me to the point where you thought they were real, but you know better than that now. You know this is how it's meant to be, just you and me."

How was he supposed to say no to that? With the kiss looming so closely, Chris breathed soft and waited only for a moment before he tilted his head forward and took it for himself. It was gentle and unsure, nothing sitting right in his own skin but he knew that he wanted this. He wanted the comfort and the affection, and the simplicity of just accepting what was right in front of him. For the world to slow down and let him simply be.

"No." It was a weak retort, something born of desperation rather than an actual protest. His mind was drifting further and further away from his own control, turning to clay in Cole's hands and Chris was left adrift without anything to guide him. He loved... Cole? His love for Bianca — he knew that was real without a shadow of a doubt. That love was real. Was it not really Bianca's? He could feel his eyes filling hot with tears while he struggled to make sense of it. "What's happening to me?"

Cole kissed him back, just as gentle but nowhere even near unsure. He made a soft noise of approval and encouragement, urging Chris on to accept the affection and the fact that it was Cole giving it to him. It was a thrill for Cole to see that he didn't even need to order Chris now to take his affection and only needing to dangle it on a thread for Chris to grab. He was getting closer to fully having Chris and it was wonderful.

"Yes," he replied, soft and gentle and loving. Cole moved to pull him into a hug and petted his hair, resting his forehead against Chris's and closing his eyes. This was beautiful, it was amazing. He could see just how close he was to falling and all he needed to give him was a little push to make him topple. "Everything's being made right, Chris. You can feel it in your heart, in your mind, that what I'm saying is how things should be. You're mine, Chris, and all you've wanted is to come back to me because I'll take care of you. You know I'm the only one that's ever wanted you even after your own father did nothing for you."

The kiss ended too soon, but then Cole was holding him close and there was something else to focus on. This was good, too, the attention and the loving words. He needed this just like he needed Cole here with him and he was tiring quickly. This fight wasn't one he was going to win, didn't want to win, and even his subconscious could do nothing against the magically-fueled barrage working to bury him underneath the power of Belthazor's commands.

At such a tender motion, Chris let his eyes close and the tears fall. It was frustration, it was lament, it was everything shedding away as Cole ruthlessly pulled at the fraying strings of his mind to weave into a tapestry of his own making. There was nothing he could do in the end and soon he couldn't even comprehend why he wanted to change it. He was confused, embarrassed, rather unsure of why this had come to happen, and yet he knew Cole was right about it all. "I don't deserve you," he whispered. Someone so dedicated to making sure he was all right, after he had run away and tried to replace him? "I'm so sorry."

There. He could see Chris fall and Cole held on to him as if the physical motion would help Chris mentally. Leaning in, Cole kissed where his tears fell, tongue darting out to lick up the proof that Chris was his, that he had fallen apart enough to accept Cole as his love. Once he had gotten that out of his system, Cole pulled away a little so that he could wipe away whatever tears he didn't try to lick up, a gentle motion that made it seemed like Cole truly cared for Chris instead of just wanting to use him for his own reasons.

"You don't have to apologize for that, Chris," he said as he adjusted himself a little on Chris's lap. The excitement over pulling Chris apart had made his body respond and he was somewhat uncomfortable in his current sitting position. Once he was more comfortable, Cole focused back on Chris and kissed his forehead gently. "You deserve me and everything I give you. You deserve it more than you can even imagine and you love that I will always be by your side."

Now that the struggle was over, the dust settling in the aftermath, Chris felt a strange sort of peace settle over him. It was a calm, the reassurance of the bindings holding him down keeping him grounded while he let his mind drift idly, body relaxing against Cole with a fond air and no trace of discomfort left in him. He wanted nothing more than to say where he was up until the point Cole was satisfied with him.

He noticed, of course, the awkward situation Cole had ended up in. There was no thought to what had triggered it, not much concern except that perhaps Cole wanted to offer him something Chris hadn't been expecting yet. His head tilted to the side, leaning it against Cole's cheek in something like a nuzzling motion that really just helped soothe him more. Whatever contact he could get with Cole was more fulfilling than pacing around in nervous agony. He wanted more. He hummed briefly before he softly said, "I want more." That was all he needed, all of what Cole told him to do when he was feeling bereft, wasn't it? It should do.

When Chris started to relax and then nuzzle his cheek, Cole smiled and pet his hair with one hand while the other was placed on his back and rubbed in between the straps of the harness. He didn't want to take it off just yet because he wanted to keep Chris calm, but that was going to come off soon enough, along with his shirt so that Cole could give him a proper backrub. Until then, he was just going to have to settle with this.

"I'll give you more. I'll give you as much as you want. Tell me what you want me to do." He moved to kiss his neck for a moment before he started to suck on the sensitive skin, wanting to mark him as his in some small way so that Chris could look at it and know that he was Cole's in every way that mattered. Moving again, Cole became the one that was nuzzling, copying Chris and nuzzling his cheek. After a long moment of that, he pulled back and studied Chris for a long moment. "Kiss me," he ordered gently. "Show me how much you love me and want my affection."

Head bowed to take in the attention Cole was paying to his neck, his cheek and everything else with their close proximity, Chris moaned appreciatively and quieted when Cole pulled away. There was so much he wanted, everything he would be allowed in order to drown out the years of emptiness and lonely vigil where he had been on his own with nothing but misplaced love holding him together. He would stay as long as it took for Cole to give him what he needed because Cole always looked out for him.

It was an easy order to follow. One that didn't even need to be enforced by this point; it was something Chris wanted to do just because of the feelings that had been inspired in him. He leaned forward where he could and took Cole's lips to pull him into a kiss with only his skill. It was slow and deep, attentive and needy. A pouring out of his desires to fill this ever more-noticeable void inside of him.

Cole's response to the kiss was immediate and forceful, leaning in closer to take control of the kiss, greedy and wanting more of what Chris was so willing to give him now that his defenses had been broken down. The hand in his hair turned from petting to gripping his hair and holding him in the kiss, making sure that he couldn't pull away until Cole allowed it. He moaned into the kiss, making it obvious that Cole seemed to be enjoying it and that he was encouraging him to keep kissing him.

It wasn't until he needed to get air that he ended the kiss, not so much pulling apart as he was stopping the motions, his lips still brushing up against Chris's while he caught his breath. "You're wonderful and you're all mine," he said breathlessly before giving him a quick peck before he moved away completely, getting off of his lap and standing in front of him. With a wave of his hands, the bindings keeping him on his knees and restraining his hands fell to the floor before Cole apportated Chris's clothes off his body and dropped them to the floor as well, leaving him with only the harness on. "Stand up and show yourself off to me. I want to see my beautiful whitelighter," Cole said as his eyes stayed on Chris. From what he could see, he wasn't lying about the beautiful part. "You don't need to be shy with showing me your body. You like being able to be like this with me because it means I can give you all the attention and affection you crave."

By the end of the kiss, Chris was breathing heavily and trying to make up for the longer stamina that Cole had. His breath had literally been stolen and he was perfectly all right right with that, dazed and pleased by how deeply Cole had gotten into it. He licked his lips absently, watching Cole with an unperturbed interest when he finally stood and pulled away from him. When the bindings and his clothes fell away, his first action was to turn down to his hands, stretching his fingers and rubbing at his wrists to get rid of the phantom bindings still holding at him.

Standing easily, Chris ran a hand through his hair and had only a moment of nervousness before it all washed away into the safety of the harness and Cole's watchful eyes. This was good, it was a good opportunity for Cole to give him even more than what he already had and he ducked his head to hide a pleased smile at the thought. His tongue darted out to his lips again in memory, in anticipation, and he raised his arms partway before doing a small turn for Cole. He was all smooth skin and freckles down his chest, sprinkled across his back and a few long the back of his legs, a body clearly having been raised on magic for not having any sort of blemishes to speak of. His muscles were average but it only highlighted how well he was already built. "Like this?" he asked, turning to face Cole once again and raise his brows.

He took a long moment to study Chris as he showed off for him and Cole couldn't help but smile. His initial assessment was right and once he got a good long look at his whitelighter, he walked back over, bent down a bit, and kissed the center of his chest where the freckles were spattered across his skin. They were wonderful and only added to his looks and Cole could have spent all day just studying them and learning each and every one was on his skin, but they didn't have much time and he was going to give Chris his affection.

"Yes," he murmured as he stood back up straight and pulled him back in close, bodies pressed against each other once again while he started another kiss, this time not nearly long enough to steal his breath. Cole saw how it affected Chris and he was going to keep that in mind for the future when they had more time together and they were going to do this again if Cole had anything to say about it. "You're beautiful and all mine."

Chris grinned, obviously pleased with the attention being paid to him. His skin was cooling rather quickly in the Underworld air but having Cole right beside him helped keep him warm and uncaring for it. His hands came up to cup Cole's face during the kiss, an automatic action as if to make sure he wasn't going to go anywhere even after the repeated assurances. There was a part of him that just needed to confirm it.

"Completely yours," he murmured in agreement after the kiss. He smiled loftily and shifted to lay his head against Cole's shoulder, arms wrapping around him to reciprocate their closeness. He wanted this, too. He wanted every bit of Cole's attention that he could demand, needed the touch and the care. Perhaps in the future he would have more patience for letting Cole control their time together but he wanted to fill himself first, to really have every bit of love that Cole promised him. He breathed soft, beginning to nuzzle against Cole's neck lightly as if in silent plea to stay and keep going.

The more he saw Chris respond to what he gave him, the more Cole was reminded of a cat, pushy with its need for attention when it wanted it. His repeated nuzzling also helped with the cat comparison and Cole couldn't help but be amused. He had definitely gotten himself a pet instead of merely a weapon to be used against the Charmed Ones. That wasn't a bad alternative and just meant that he'd be able to get more fun out of Chris in the long run, which was never terrible.

"You're much calmer now," he stated as he pet his hair with one hand and traced down his side with the other. After a moment of giving him some much needed contact, Cole started to remove the harness, letting it drop to the floor when it was finally taken off. He immediately went back to petting his hair and then also started to rub his back in a soothing manner in case things got too bad with the removal of that safety net. "You like this. Don't you?"

It wasn't Chris's usual mode of attention-seeking. Rather, Chris didn't have a mode of looking for attention rather than being desperate for approval and being too skittish to really ask for it. He'd never been good at bringing himself to force that much focus on himself, not after growing up in the shadows of the Charmed Ones and the Twice-Blessed Child. It was only the repeated commands of his need for it that made him push to achieve it, an impetus he usually buried and left forgotten on his own time.

Keeping hold of Chris was a good move. Once the harness was gone, Chris slowly tensed up as everything around him began to sink in. It was like he had been put on standby mode, relaxed and willing to take anything thrown at him with little fight, but now the world suddenly became harsh once more and his mind churned against the situation it found itself. He shuddered, head shaking as if to push the conflict out. "I do," he said hesitantly. That wasn't right, was it? Why was he doing this? Why was he allowing this to happen? He moved, hands coming between them and trying to place a bit of distance while his mind screamed for space to think and focus and find something to latch onto.

"You do," Cole confirmed and ordered carefully, seeing that he was about to go another round in fighting Chris. He reached to grab Chris's wrists so that he could move his hands up so that they'd cup Cole's face. His expression was calm and warm, trying to be the comfort Chris needed in this time of confusion. "It's alright, Chris. You can relax. I'm only here to help you."

Letting go of his wrists, Cole pulled Chris into a tight hug and moved to kiss his cheek affectionately. He was going to play the part of the only person who was there for Chris, the only one who cared enough to give him the love and attention he needed. "You know all of that already. Nothing's changed. You want my love and attention and all the affection you can take from what I'm willing to give you. And you know I'm willing to give you everything."

It was hard to deny with the evidence right in front of his face. Chris stroked at Cole's cheekbone with his thumb for only a moment while his mind churned and ground up against some invisible barrier to acceptance. His body was practically aching from understanding every word Cole was saying and yet his mind refused to let him rest, a distressing and ultimately disturbing conundrum

When he was pressed against Cole, Chris let his chin rest on the other's shoulder while he went through his internal struggle. There was so much he could ask for, so much hidden in that simple and all-encompassing promise and he wanted it so, so badly. He knew the offer was there, always extended and a precious gift. Yet he couldn't accept it. "Give me space," he begged desperately. It was a hard-won fight just to get that out rather than ask for Cole's comfort. He didn't want space but he needed the room to think, to try and get this anxiety and wrongness out of his system. Time to clear his thoughts and come back to this as less of a mess.

"Okay," he conceded as he let him go and stepped back far enough that Chris wouldn't be able to reach out for him before starting to circle him and watch his reactions. This was a sensitive situation and he was going to deal with it appropriately.

"You don't really want space," Cole pointed out, putting his hands in his pocket and looking rather indifferent about the entire situation. This didn't bother him and he knew that if he did things right, Chris would be back up against him asking for his affection. "Don't deny what you had been so happy to do just a moment previous. You need to accept that fact that you're allowed to have someone's love and let then give you the attention and love you deserve. There's no need to try complicating thing further than that."

Chris shuddered when Cole stepped away, hands reaching up to run through his hair before they flopped to his side and he eventually settled by crossing them over his chest. Now that he had space, it was just as hard to think. Cole was talking and he was right as always, the space starting to feel like too much, a vacuum ready to pull the air right out of his lungs. His concentration was shot no matter what he did, and it was even worse with Cole further away. Why did he ask for distance when it was the closeness he truly longed for?

His head dipped automatically while he tried to force his thoughts into order. The longer he was kept away and the more Cole encouraged him back, the more difficult it was getting to even think of anything aside from being in Cole's arms and the heat soaking into his body. His reticence was being overwritten by the need, the memory of how good it had felt drowning his apprehension. His hand came up once again to run through his hair, head tilted to the side before he finally looked around to locate where Cole had gotten to in his circling. He licked at his lips and said, "You're right. I'm sorry. Come back?"
