His hand was on the doorknob immediately, but Peter hesitated. There was no one else it could be on the other end of the door and he was both afraid and excited. Some part of him was happy that Robin had actually come, while the other was berating him for pulling her away from whatever else was obviously more important than whatever momentary mire Peter had fallen into.
The knob twisted just slightly in his hand and he used it to spur himself back into action. He opened the door and was speaking almost before he could confirm who it was for certain. "I'm so sorry I called you, Ms. Blake, it was a mistake. Not that you're a mistake, of course not, but I just... made a mistake, I'm fine, as you can see. I'm hale and whole and—you actually came, which I'm not sure why you did, but I'm sorry about that," he said, one long rush of breath escaping him at the same time. Oh, but that was incredibly hard to say once he had gotten a good look at her. "U-um... about making you come all this way. For nothing, as it turns out. Just a broken dish."
