WHAT Let's Fix Stargate Universe
WHEN post-Twin Destinies
WHERE Atlantis at first. Other places later, obviously.

It was a day and a half before Rush was able to pull himself out of bed after having accidentally walked through a window into another universe and had his soul ripped out of his body. He shouldn't have been sitting up, let alone standing and walking around, but he was an incredibly stubborn man and he had something that he needed to do. Things were complicated back home, with one Telford dead that he was to blame for and his younger alternate self probably carrying the blame for his death despite the fact that he had nothing to do with it. Sure, it had been an accident, but considering how things had gone down, he wasn't sure Young would be happy about his friend's death by the hands of his once rival and he didn't want his younger self to be punished for this. No, he needed to see if he was safe and if he wasn't, make sure that he could return to the ship and continue the mission.

Thanks to his state of being, nearly all of his attempts for assistance were replied with comments on how he should be resting, but there was one person who wished to help despite his weakness. He was still a child, just barely outside of his teens, but beggars couldn't be choosers and if he could help, then he couldn't care less about his age. Together, they went to the window and Rush hastily reminded the young man--Chris, that was his name, yes--what they expected to find on the other side and where they needed to go. Not that he needed it, but it was a precaution Rush needed more than anything.

Then they went through the window and almost immediately went from space to the vaguely familiar surroundings of a room. It was alien and minimalist, but Rush knew exactly where they were. They were in Atlantis, which means they were back on Earth. Looking over at Chris, Rush moved over to the door and waved his hand over the panel to open it. Since Chris didn't seem to be harmed, then they shouldn't stay in this room for too long. The city's sensors would have picked them up immediately and it was only the human element that was going to allow them the time to move.

"We need to get moving immediately. It wouldn't be in our best interests to get caught."
