Eli's attention was on Shannon's body, searching out the little points of tension in his muscles to remove them and make him turn to putty under his hands.

He liked the fact that he could get to touch Shannon all he wants under the pretense of a massage and if he truly wanted to do this properly, he'd activate his powers and let it run through his muscles and loosen them up, but that was too much like cheating in Eli's mind and he wanted the excuse to touch him like this without Shannon wondering about what would come from it.
