Shannon's hearing was still working well despite the noise of the general chatter drowning out most of the conversation. He could definitely pick out the word Cross every now and then and couldn't help but send a smirk in Eli's direction when he did. It was obvious Eli was already enjoying himself, so hopefully his status being recognized would only further his mood for the night. He gave a light squeeze to Eli's elbow before turning to Michelle instead.
