When he was out with Shannon, it was easier for him to relax. It also helped that he was covered an illusion so that he was separated from the world and nobody could really get to him besides Shannon. All of that together comforted him and made him able to come back to these places that he hasn't been to since before everything happened.

"Thank you," he said as he leaned against him and kissed him gently. Eli still wasn't sure how he got so lucky but he wasn't complaining. He then pulled away to grab some chains for the clamps and started to lead Shannon over to the next thing he wanted to get him. "And now let's look at waxes."
