If Shannon wanted to kiss him, then he was going to let it happen and respond in kind. He could get that this was his answer to the question and as answers went, this was a pretty good one. When Shannon regained the ability to form real words once again, they'd talk about this in detail, but for now, kissing was as good of a way to communicate as any. This was something that Eli definitely wanted to do again, maybe not even during a scene so Shannon could be more coherent during the entire thing.

After a few moments, Eli finally ended the kiss, placing his head back onto Shannon's shoulder and panting lightly against his neck. "We should think about moving this to a bed. It'd be a lot more comfortable than this."
