Shannon hardly heard the words, gasping when Eli's leg came close enough to matter. He rocked forward in a steady rhythm, panting quietly in relief and then in surprise when his head was pulled back. It snapped his attention into place, if not his focus, and although he didn't stop his motion at all, he did try to match the question to the proper answer. His Dom had asked and he needed to reply.

"S-sir," he said after a long moment. "You're Sir, but you weren't here..." He wasn't Sir unless they were together, unless the time and place was right, and it wasn't, not until just now.
