Shannon pulled in a sharp breath, momentary confusion giving way to passivity while Eli did his work. He shifted his elbows, feeling how little room there was to maneuver without destroying any sort of circulation in his arms. Putting his arms between a row of straps acted like a makeshift sleeve and kept them from sliding up or down. His head dipped low and he let out a small sigh, not one of defeat but anticipation.
