Shannon's actions were causing Eli to go deeper into this shattered Dom mode he had access to, holding him protectively and whispering words of love and promises to protect him into his ear. Even if he had to walk like this to the bedroom, Eli didn't mind if this was something to keep his sub calm and didn't throw him into worse panic.

"Shhh, it's okay. You didn't do anything wrong. That wasn't directed at you," he said gently, smoothing his hair out with a hand as he started to lead him towards the bedroom.
