WHO Jacob Kane ([personal profile] insertdadjoke), Abel Fletcher ([personal profile] sociopapathic).
WHAT Do not fuck with these brothers. Not even if you want to experiment and find out why one is immortal. Just don't do it.
WHEN Late 2014, several months after Cain and Abel have been working together to down the Death Erasers.
WHERE nfc.

"What do you mean, you don't know how to text?" asked Cain. He glanced over the lid of his laptop to give his brother a dubious look. There was a whole lot Abel had simply never picked up in his time as an Enforcer and Cain was painfully aware of how much personal experience Abel was lacking in his unlife. There was nothing to be done for it except curse the Reapers and move forward from there. Still... "Everyone knows how to text, Abel."

It was a bit egregious when Abel had a thirteen year old daughter (granted that she was adopted) who was quite the typical teenager in some respects and still Abel couldn't do much more than make calls with his phone. That just seemed like willful ignorance on Abel's part. Cain was going to have to fix that. There were worse things he was going to have to help his brother get through; this one would be a piece of cake.

Didn't mean he couldn't rib the hell out of Abel for it, though.

"Do you even know how to get to the text menu? Can you even turn your phone on? My God, does Holly have to charge it for you?" he asked, tone going more and more obnoxious as the questions came. Sometimes he even got a reaction for it. Those were always awesome.

At the sound of Do talking, Abel dropped into a crouch, looking back at Cain and motioning to follow him before he made his way towards the operator. He was one of the ones Abel had wanted to suffer once they had been free. As much as he wants to take his time making him suffer, time isn't something they have much of, so he sneaked up behind him, stood up, and grinned.

"That's not how you're supposed to behave," he said as he took one of his knives and swung it with enough force to cut clean through his neck. Taking a couple steps back, he turned to Cain. "It's okay, brother. He's dead now. The Reapers shall see to him."

"Reapers know when their chosen is dead. They have taken clockless before." He then started thinking on his brother's words. "I don't know if that would work, but we could try."

He looked down at the headless corpse of Do and then around the lounge. There was nobody else around, but who knew how that would last. Abel turned his attention to Cain. "We could find somebody else or wait for his Reaper," he said while pointing at the corpse.

There was a slight tilt of his head and then he nodded, leading the way out of the lounge. "Keep your eyes on the doors," he said, moving at a decent pace, but not enough to leave Cain behind. He wasn't going to escape without his brother and he wanted to keep him close in case they stumbled upon somebody that was actively looking for them.

He couldn't help but be impressed by Cain's aim when he turned around at the warning. Even while drugged, he could still hit the man, but Abel was going to do one better. Pulling out one of his own scalpels, he threw it into the second guard's carotid artery with ease. He then walked over to them, motioning for Cain to follow.

"They're fools. Grab that, it'll help us avoid patrols," he said to Cain, motioning to the walkie-talkie. "I imagine it is. We'll go that way and see if that's the case."

Perhaps when Abel wasn't angry at Cain he'd teach him how to throw scalpels and knives with precision. He knelt down and grabbed his scalpel out of the guard's neck and then stood up, staying close to Cain.

"I felt the statement needed to be repeated," he replied softly as he lead the way. It wouldn't do either of them any good if he spoke loud enough to draw attention to their location.

Just because Cain didn't sound like he had see a ninja on the ceiling didn't mean Abel let down his guard. He looked up and saw the lines and for a brief moment thought that was rather clever until he pushed that thought out of his mind. Color coding wasn't his thing, but if Cain said it was possibly what it could be, then he'd go with it.

"Then we will look for the blue and follow it." And when Abel said 'we', he meant Cain. One of them had to keep their eyes ahead and behind in case of trouble.

"They're not complete fools." There was a slight hint of disappointment in his voice as he followed Cain through the hall. He was hoping it would take longer for them to realize that they had taken the radio, but they had already proved they were clever by taking them. Just once, he hoped that they would screw up more than just one idiot operator. That would make Abel's month.

He stilled and went quiet, listening to the voice that Cain pointed out. Giving a nod in respond to his question, he holds his knives at the ready. All they need to do is rush in and take the person down before they can let out a warning. He gives Cain a quick glance, ready to go on his mark.

At Cain's approval, Abel rushed in as quickly and quietly one would expect from a ghost, nearly cutting the man's head off with his knives. He lets Cain deal with the phones and immediately goes to look at the screens to discern an exit. It doesn't take long for him to find it, but the screens are disconnected from each other and not really in an order that Abel can figure out with a quick glance.

"Found the exit, but not how to get there." He paused and looked at Cain, acting like he didn't quite hear what he said. "Texas? We can't be in Texas."

"We can't be. We were traveling for only a couple of hours," Abel shot back. He hasn't quite realized that part of that trip was on an airplane yet mostly because he's never dealt with airplanes before.

"I can." He walked over and took a long moment to commit it to memory. Once he's memorized it completely, he turned to Cain. "I am ready. Shall we do something about this room?"

"Flight? We were on an airplane?" There's quite a bit of surprise in Abel's voice mixed with disappointment. He was hoping his first time in an airplane would be more memorable than getting kidnapped.

He eyed the chair for a moment before he mimed picking it up and thrashing it around, trying to signal to Cain what exactly he wants to do. Abel would just use his knives, but he doesn't want to know what would happen to his false body and the collar when hit by electricity from the screens. "I need the chair." Then he slaps Cain in the face. "Once we get out of this place, we are finding someplace safe so you can rest."

After a moment, Abel picked up the chair and attacked the screens and controls with it until they're suitably destroyed and the chair isn't any better. It was quick and Abel is thorough with his destruction. That should give them enough of an advantage to get out without running into too many people.

"We will find one. And I will hit you more if that's what it takes." If he needs to keep on smacking his brother, he will. And if that doesn't work, Abel can get more violent, though it's doubtful that he would need to. They just need to get far enough away so that they can rest for a short while. "Are you ready to leave?"

Speaking of guard dogs, Abel bolted out of the room like a dog on a mission, leading Cain towards the exit at a good pace, but not enough for Cain to lag behind. For the first time since his capture, Abel feels confidant and looks as much, knowing exactly where he's going and that he's free from the Death Erasers for now. He stopped suddenly at the sound of voices coming towards them and it's too many for Abel and Cain to take on themselves, so Abel grabbed Cain and pulls them into a nearby room and shuts the door behind them.

When he finally looked around, he realized it was the locker room and tilted his head slightly at his brother. This would definitely be helpful for when they're finally out. "Go find yourself something to wear."
