There was a long silence and stillness from Casey after that reply. Taking it all in was monumental and they weren't sure what could possibly be an appropriate reply after their heart began to soar for the confirmation. It was so much said in so little and it helped soothe the raw, aching nerves that were Casey's psyche. Sometimes the world was just too much and there was nothing to do but fight through it; with Gabriel, it felt more like a journey than a war. Nothing, it seemed, would change that.
"We should get out of bed," they eventually muttered. Change of subject, something much less pressing and confusing and world-changing.
