It was an interesting balance to the humanoids' need for complexity. Rather, their inability to let things be simple for the sake of it made for an interesting contrast with the apparently-laid back nature of dragons. How confusing, counter to whatever bravado dragons had worked up about themselves and against what most people thought about dragons. Simple pleasures. Cuddling. Wooing random humans.
"Were you going to keep hiding it?" they asked. That seemed like a fair question, whether or not this would have continued or what else might have come up before this entire reveal. "I mean, everything. I don't think... the dragonaught thing—it's a nice thought, but I'm just... I like you and I like that you like me, but I'm not something that special."
