let's recreate the big bang [ psl ]
WHO Brian (
interradical) and Rowan (
antipodal)
WHAT Just two guys sharing time with each other. Nothing weird at all, no alien oddness whatsoever.
WHEN :iiam:
WHERE Brian's place.
WHY blame wankgate for something good for once.
Another day, another dollar, another evening spent at home. It was a familiar routine, recently being readjusted to the introduction of someone else in his life. That was new. More than new. It was exhilarating, even if Brian had no idea how it had happened. Whirlwind romances weren't his thing, but maybe he had never been looking in the right places. Rowan wasn't his perfect match or the kind of guy he dreamed about as a teen, but there was an undeniable attraction both in and out of the sheets. They just fit.
He'd only just returned home, but Rowan was already there. They'd given each other keys a while ago, just half a foot shy of actually moving in together, and Brian couldn't reasonably say he minded. Kept to himself pretty well, had a small circle of friends and a good reputation at work, but it was lonely at home more often than not. He was on the couch and removing his shoes when the smell hit him, revitalizing a tired mind ready to shut off for the night.
"Is that dinner already on the stove?" he called.

Rowan looked away from the food he was preparing and smiled despite being in a different room from his boyfriend. "Of course it is," he responded cheerfully and loud enough for Brian to hear him clearly. He had found that the hearing range was quite short and had to learn to effectively speak in the proper range so as to not cause any confusion. "I wouldn't want you to try cooking something yourself after a long day at work."

After a moment of sitting and breathing, he pushed himself to his feet and pattered into the kitchen. There was a soft smile on his features when he saw Rowan there, marveling quietly how he had stumbled onto someone so amazing who actually cared about him back. It was all Brian could do to hold on to the gorgeous man for as long as he could. "What's on the menu?"

When Brian came into the kitchen, Rowan was on him almost instantly, arm wrapping around him to pull him close while the other was tipping Brian's chin up so Rowan could kiss him, a long and gentle kiss to show how much he loved him. "Well, there were a couple things I'd think you like," he murmured gently into the kiss before he grinned slightly and tilted his head a fraction to the side. "Oh, you were talking about the food, weren't you?"
no subject
"I was," he said softly, pulling back enough to look into Rowan's eyes with a playfully hungry gaze. Snaking his hand up around the other's neck, he pulled them close and dove into another kiss. After nipping at his lip, he pulled back once more. "What did I ever do to deserve you, huh?"
no subject
The look Rowan gave Brian was one of desire and he eagerly returned the kiss until his lip was nipped at, Rowan turning amused and also slightly disappointed that it ended, but that didn't last for long. "Be wonderful. Perfect. Smart. Funny. Do I need to keep going, beautiful?" At each word, he gave a quick kiss as if to emphasize each thing he was saying to him. To him, all of it was true and he wanted Brian to know what he thought. "Or should I put my mouth to better use than that?"

Still, it wouldn't hurt to banter back. "If I were perfect, we'd be somewhere much nicer than a downtown one-bedroom apartment right now," he said indulgently. He shifted to kiss under Rowan's jaw and murmured into it, "But I won't argue the beautiful. That'd be an insult to my parents right there."
no subject
He let out a soft huff of laughter at the banter and just pulled him back close, wanting to keep Brian close so he didn't get distracted from what Rowan was trying to do. "I don't see how your home says you're not perfect. I like it and I love the man that lives in it," he says before making a content little noise at the kiss. It was definitely nice when Brian got into this without too much urging on his part. "And we wouldn't want to insult your parents, especially when it's a fact that you're absolutely stunning."

"Perfection usually lives in high-rises and expensive condos and drives a ferrari or hires people to drive for them," he said whimsically. His body was relaxing into the hold and the comfort, leaning into Rowan as he was wanting to do. It was just the two of them and they had the entire night ahead. "Great genes. Great in jeans. Sure that's not what brought you to the yard?"
no subject
"I think you're perfect without all of that," Rowan responded with a smile as he held him close and rubbed his back gently in a comforting manner. It was easy enough to know how to soothe Brian without any difficulty and that was one of the trick Rowan had learned early on in their relationship. "Great out of jeans too. And I'm sure that wasn't the case."
no subject
Brian hummed at first, then grunted when he could feel the fabric of his shirt catching every now and then. "That reminds me," he said. "After dinner, mind doing me a favor? My back has been super dry lately and I wanted to get some lotion on it to try and smooth it out. I'll pay you back."
no subject
At the grunt, Rowan stopped and looked down at where he was rubbing and then slipped his hand under his shirt to confirm what his boyfriend was saying. He had to keep himself from gasping in surprise when he felt the rough skin under his fingers. The transformation was beginning properly. It'd only be a matter of time before he would be ready. Rowan couldn't help but be excited, though he channeled it in a way so that Brian wouldn't notice anything as off. "Pay me back? Now why would I say no when you promise me good things? Of course I'll help you with your back."
no subject
His shoulders rolled at the hand on his back, a bit of discomfort near overridden by the touch of his boyfriend. It was probably pretty gross back there, and Rowan wasn't even batting an eye. His hands felt good even directly on the cracked and odd skin, and he sighed quietly for it. "Thank you. I have no idea what's causing it, but I'd rather take care of it myself if I can."
no subject
It was anything but gross for Ruavu, enjoying the touch of proper skin for once with this human and he rubbed his fingers over the patch in slow circles, giving it attention and trying to make Brian more comfortable with the change there without making obvious as to what he was doing. "No matter what it is, I'll help you with it, okay? First, we should probably take care of dinner before we get too distracted."
