That wasn't the answer Chris had expected. Being some center point to Cole's plans had never entered into his ideas over what he was being used for. Bait? Sure, definitely. This... he wasn't so sure. He was just a whitelighter here and now. Whitelighter to the Charmed Ones, but nothing more than that, and he had definitely preferred the anonymity since it made his mission easier in the past. Now, however, it was shooting him in the foot for a number of reasons. Would Cole have been more reluctant to take him if he knew who Chris was? The sisters, they would probably put a priority on saving him if he were more than some neurotic whitelighter from the future, but no, Chris had gotten himself put in the middle of this with hardly anything to defend himself. Just great.
"Chris Perry—" He stopped forcibly, words spilling from him like someone forgot to turn off the tap. His mind was slip-sliding all over the place and his heart was pounding in his throat because he knew how he had been about to finish that. Something was wrong, alarms blaring in his head while he slowly lost control of himself for no apparent reason. His struggle began anew, his whole body trying to wrench away from Cole now to the point of rattling the bindings and closing his eyes. "What are you doing to me?!"
