Barring a miracle, Chris had nothing else to turn to. It was just him and the demon and Chris was unfortunately at his mercy while he had Chris all tied up and effectively powerless. His only chance would be to come up with a strong enough spell on the fly, but even a Power of Three spell couldn't take Cole down and a dinky little ditty on Chris's part would hardly even phase him. That was going to take some work if he was going to turn anything around.
Being paid compliments was odd enough, but them coming from Cole Turner of all people was turning this whole thing into some kind of surreal farce. He could feel his brain slip just momentarily and he scoffed while trying to pull his mental bearings back together. "I've heard it before," he replied flippantly. Bianca loved his eyes, his freckles, his hands. Everything about him, even when Chris didn't care to see it in himself. "But, you know, usually people go to dinner before they skip to the harnesses and sweet talk."
