With his summon now literally in his lap, it made things a lot more obvious to Chris. Like how much Cole was enjoying their current position or previous activities and he swallowed carefully to keep himself breathing evenly. This was awkward. Livable, but awkward and odd because Chris was still having a time wrapping his head around the whole idea. Just having his summon at all was going to take serious adjustments after six years of beating himself down and being convinced that no summon existed to answer his call. That was hard enough. Now there was this on top of it and it was making a difficult adjustment into a very strange and uncharted one.
