misconceived: (✇or to gold)

Chris couldn't help the gasp at the hand on his sigil. It was like he could feel the difference even if it was only skin deep, the fact that it had finally formed completely now that he had properly made contact with his summon. He was having trouble understanding what had actually happened, why now and why this, but the fact that he had finally found his summon was something to be celebrated and his heart was soaring just at finally, finally having a sliver of proof that perhaps he wasn't broken as a person.

Breathing deeply, Chris pressed his nose to Cole's neck and tried to hold on tighter. There was nothing to be done but just sit in his presence for as long as he could, such a simple thing that was completely overdue thousands of times over. This connection was theirs and it was just as great, if not better, than what his family had told him about coming to know their summons. "My summon," he echoed. "You found me."

Despite his wishes, the moment was shattered almost instantly.

"Get the hell away from my son!" Leo stood, moving to pull Chris away from Cole as quickly as he could. Something had obviously gone wrong here, Turner becoming something inhuman and luring Chris in. Them being a proper summoner/summon pair wasn't possible because his son didn't have a summon connected to him, there was no two ways about it after so long of not being able to draw the creature in. "Chris, come here. Please."
