As he finally got to starting the helicopter, a Doombot shot a flare into the sky and the others started moving to the crater where Doom had landed with the girl.

The helicopter went airborne and he carefully guided up above the buildings where they could see the fighting between the Fantastic Four and the other Doombots more easily. Other flares had been sent along a path towards the areas of fighting and Doom took a moment to glance at the girl. "Pay close attention to your friends and you'll see what the surprise is." A moment after he said that, multiple explosions went off where the fighting had been, the Doombots having self-destructed in the middle of combat.
