"The point is that it's supposed to hurt," he says tiredly. Clearly, she has been around Johnny to the point where it might become detrimental to her future growth. He's going to lodge a complaint at Richards once they return home so that she'll dial down the smartass a bit.

He sits more comfortably in the chair and somehow, he looks like he's lounging on a throne instead of some shitty chair in a motel, which is pretty impressive. Victor is keeping an eye on her to make sure she is doing as well as she claims to be, he doesn't need her collapsing at the worst time.
