To Doom, it wasn't much of a surprise that he was still warm. Computers gave off heat, so why couldn't a metallic humanoid lifeform with way too much electricity do the same? Plus it helped that it was a warm environment and his skin still existed to take in heat for him. As long as he appeared normal on the outside, it didn't really matter what the internal workings were.
