As soon as Cole stopped putting up resistance, Darryl shot to his feet and started fixing his jacket and shirt. This was what he got for hanging out with the Halliwells: an endless supply of weirdness and things he could never anticipate no matter how hard he tried. By this point, he might as well start throwing ideas into a hat and pulling them out at random. Maybe he would have better luck then. "Whatever that was," he said, making sure to make eye contact with the three others still in the room, "I don't want to know about it. Here, Piper, this is yours and that—" He pointed to the door as he made his way to the hallway, "—is mine. Catch you later."
Chris waited approximately two seconds after the door had closed to turn to his aunt and uncle. "I... I am so sorry about that, I don't know why it took me so long to come up with a spell, that was—that was dumb of me. I'll figure something else out, no more spells," he promised. "Just. Sorry."
Before Leo could even move to try and reassure Chris, the younger man had shimmered away just like his father. Leo took a deep breath, sighed, and was left wondering where that put the rest of them now that the dust had begun to settle. "Well," he said after a moment. "I guess we can cross that off our list of things to try."
