Chances were that their victim was not an innocent, but a witch struck down for some part of her family's heritage. Shaking his head, he turned and continued investigating the room around them; whether it was her Book of Shadows missing or her recipe book, Rush would find it out and the significance would likely pass him by. That wasn't the important part.
