That just meant more work for him in the end, but he could also use this case to study Chris' methods firsthand and see what he would have to fix.

That was to be expected and thankfully, the nosy onlookers have long since left, so he didn't have to worry about dealing with them. He headed towards the scene, not motioning for Chris to follow since he figured the kid was smart enough to follow his lead.
"I work my way out," he started, pulling a notepad and pencil out to start writing something down as he walked. "Going outwards from the body gives everything context that we can work with. From my experience, going the opposite way tends to confuse things, especially in complicated situations like this. Was there any signs of forced entry?"
