Shannon graced both of them with a roll of his eyes and leaned his head toward Eli in deference to the hand on his neck. His response was not actually born of exasperation, because it had been his intent to get Eli's mind somewhere else in the first place and he knew this worked like a charm.
"Yeah," he agreed easily. "All the time in the world. Right now, though, I'm smelling something finally getting put on the grill." Not to mention he could hear the sizzling, but that smell was definitely enticing. "And I don't really want barbeque sauce where it doesn't belong, you know?"
