The silliness of Eli's cheeriness was infectious, and Shannon's ears perked back up. He leaned forward on the table, arms crossed in front of him, and tilted his head while he took in whatever he could about the young man before him. There wasn't much he hadn't already ascertained the day before, but it had been busy and crowded and Shannon rather liked being able to focus on people one-on-one when possible.
"All right, Eli Delacroix," he said, making sure to mimic the accent, "the pleasure is all mine. I'm Shannon Vaughn, the guy who gets the coffee and talks peoples' ears off."
