Eli hadn't ordered anything yet, wanting to wait to do so when Shannon arrived. Sitting in his own seat, he leaned back and studied him carefully for a long moment. He still wanted to touch those ears and see how soft they were, but he'd definitely have to wait for that to ever happen.

"Well then, how about we fix that?" He sounded incredibly cheerful about that, the wide grin on his face very obvious in his voice. Eli was always chipper to some degree and it was definitely strange when he got more excited than he should be on things. "Eli Delacroix, lowly reporter and somewhat of a mystery. Pleasure to meet you." For a brief moment on his last name, his accent shifted to a French accent before returning to his normal Chicago accent.
