"Give it some time, your voice might catch up," Shannon consoled jokingly. As he wasn't entirely aware just how emotive his ears truly were, it was pretty obvious to anyone who paid attention that Shannon was enjoying the conversation by how attentive his was being. Usually his ears would be canted in all different directions to follow the work going on around the department.
"You forget that I've worked with detectives for a while, kid. You don't have to tell me anything," he said. "But it'd sure be nice if we got that far. Then again, maybe this is a conversation to have in person. When did you want to meet?"
