There was no argument to the idea of easing him into it. The whole thing was completely outside Shannon's frame of reference and, even if he didn't outright dislike any of it, there were still quite a few hangups and misconceptions to get past. He appreciated Eli's patience more than his boyfriend probably realized. It wasn't easy when your heart was warring against your mind and body for what they were used to versus what was right.

Shannon hummed into the kiss, resting his hand at the small of Eli's back. It wasn't as though they only ever got together for scenes nowadays, but that didn't mean it always had to be one or the other when they did. This was good, too. "I like that part," he said candidly. "It helps, you know?"
