Shannon rolled his eyes expansively, then let himself lean against Eli just a bit as they walked. It figured that Eli wanted to keep them on as long as possible. Eli just loved teasing reactions out of people whenever he could get away with it, and considering Shannon was not only allowing it, but passively encouraging the behavior, he wasn't surprised at all.

"You know, I've never once in my life gotten a burn," he said contemplatively. It hadn't been any sort of life-shattering realization for Shannon once he came to that conclusion. For the longest time, he blamed it on his above average body heat and now he knew there was a little more kick to the excuse than before. Even sunburns didn't happen. He supposedly just tanned nicely. "Then again, maybe that's just because no one wanted the blind guy near an open flame."
