That seemed to be the point of the whole excursion, really. Not only to bring something back for use later, but to have fun while they picked out their tools. Eli was confident enough for the both of them that they could do it without getting in trouble, and that was enough for Shannon. He tipped his head forward to give Eli a kiss on the nose, just because he could. It was nice to see Eli feeling safe enough to be more open in public.

"Then we won't go," Shannon assured. This was all up to Eli. And, really, he had to admit that there was no arguing with that reasoning.
