If the matter Matheus had come over for was actually important enough to make Javier worried before getting in contact with his partner, then Matheus wouldn't have left no matter what Eli might have done to him. No, this was definitely in response to whatever outburst Eli had been subject to thanks to being so thoroughly out of sorts. "Eli said... He's okay, right?"

That was what he wanted to get out of the way first. That everyone had escaped from that unfortunate incident unscathed. Aside from some lingering distress in the back of his head, Shannon felt fine. Well, if one looked past how sore all of his muscles still were; it wasn't bad, just persistent. He was much more worried about Matheus, physically, and Eli, mentally. That wasn't going to stop him from yelling at Matheus too, though, he just needed to work up to that.
