There was a flare of defiance in Shannon's eyes at the scolding. While he said nothing and let Eli direct him as he pleased, he balled his hands up halfway and finished fixing the boot. How else was he supposed to speak? The idea of dressing Eli up in all that amazing leather himself was grand, but not enough for Shannon to drop the attitude entirely.
