Jacob went silent as Abel was on the phone. This was definitely weird. How was he so calm and amicable after everything he had just told Jacob? After everything they had just escaped from? His own nerves were frayed at best, tempered by how low he was running. He spared a glance toward the window while Abel spoke, figuring that as long as he could hear Abel, then it was like watching him with something other than his eyes. They were certainly on a high floor and, with a look to the rest of the room, somewhere incredibly fancy.
"There was probably something a hell of a lot cheaper closer by," he said once Abel was off the phone. If Abel had a corporeal form of some sort, it didn't strike Jacob as odd that he might eat as well. "Surprised I'm not in Uruguay or something."
