When he felt Junior's hand, another connection between them forming, Felix looked back at him and smiled softly. So he was just awkward. That made everything a bit better and privately, he found it amusing. He didn't think he'd be the completely awkward type, but that just made this more fun, seeing how he could make him flail while still pushing him as far as possible.

"You're not inept," he said, smile turning into a slight frown at his words. Inept meant negative things that he didn't associate with Junior, at least not as far as he could see.
