It was hard to have so much scrutiny on him, even if it was positive. Especially because it was positive. Junior was not one to easily get along with others and not for lack of trying. His own hangups simply got in the way where others tried to break through and often made it difficult for him to make genuine connections. This encounter was frightening as it was exciting even if there was still the potential for it to go wrong at any moment.

His eyes moved, searched around, met Felix's gaze almost reluctantly after a long moment. Shy and unsure, a smile came unbidden. "Felix," he said, trying the name out. Just having his hand held tighter for that brief moment loosened something in his chest, let the fire spread throughout. "Believe me, the pleasure's all mine. I, um, promise I don't do this with all my customers."
