The whole thing was something Junior wanted to explain, because Ash was worth it and he was doing it for Ash, but there were some things that were better to wait for. It had to be at the right time, with the right words, or he might mess it up, and this wasn't something he could afford to mess up. For now he would hold it close until he could share it proper.

Junior watched him from where he was so close, could almost swear he felt the internal workings of the synth he was holding. Whether it was his imagination or not, there was something real here. Something that deserved more. He couldn't do a lot, but that wouldn't stop him from doing every little thing that he could.

"Hasn't gotten there yet," he said quietly. He let his eyes close and exhaled slowly. "We can stay like this as long as you want to get away with."
