It took a moment for Diego to actually respond to Noah's words, trying to get enough air in his lungs to speak. That hit the mark perfectly and he couldn't help but grin at how Noah responded just as Diego thought he would. For all that Noah was an antibody demigod, he still was as predictable as most people and Diego knew exactly how to play him to get the right response, especially for this situation.

"Never said you were helpless, did I? Never said I was either," he said with a sharp laugh, grip on his shirt not changing as he watched him, knowing that Noah would react badly to what he was about to say. "That's why you like doing this to me. You feel helpless and need to control somebody and why not control the one person who is already in control of everything?"
